Alvoria's Mint Flavor - [1.12.2] - No Longer Updating Minecraft Texture Pack

Greetings! Thank you for taking interest in my pack!

This texture pack is a personal challenge to see how fast I could complete all of the vanilla Minecraft texture assets with reasonable quality. A Texture Pack Speedrun, if you will. The initial challenge took me 36 days, and I've updated it for ever snapshot since!

Hopefully some of you will like it. ^_^

1.12.2 - Mint Flavor Edition Forever! : by Alvoria 09/18/2017 7:03:33 pmSep 18th, 2017

"Mint Flavor" has received a relatively minor update for Minecraft 1.12.2. The changes to this version include, but are not necessarily limited to:

● Removed the new "Java Edition" subtitle. This is the "Mint Flavor Edition" and will remain that way as long as I have a say in the matter!

Yea, I've encountered that bug for a fair few packs. Wish the PMC staff would fix it already. ;) :P

Thank you for your support. ^_^

Do you think you could add biomes too? Like, maybe the mountains biome could make the grass look like its getting white. To accommodate the snow. And the desert could have the grass turn somewhat cream.

I've no real intention to add biome coloring as that would change how grass is laid out and pull it off-palette. It could also be done with Optifine via biome dependent CTM, but I'm not going to do any modded stuff with this pack. The point is to keep this as vanilla as possible.

That said, if you want to make an add-on pack that does this for your server then that's absolutely fine by me.

Hey Alvoria! So, I decided you might be interested in this. I have a realm, see, and we use your texture pack for the game-play! So, we are very dependent on you to keep updating it! We all,(7 players because we're still building it) love it. If you'd like, you can join the realm. I hope you'll enjoy it! Is your username just Alvoria, or is it something else? I've invited a "Alvoria" already, not sure if that is you.

I got your invite. I don't know if I'll ever come on the server, but I'm pleased that people are using and enjoying this pack. :)

Keeping it updated is something of a low-priority for me, but as I've said before knowing people appreciate it motivates me to keep working on it. Although it will always be the second pack I update whenever a new version comes around, just know that as long as I'm still part of the MC community I'll continue updating it... even if it takes me a while sometimes.

Also, was the pack meant to resemble ice cream and such? I get the impression of icecream. I love the way how it looks and feels. Keep updating it! You're doing great! Just a minor thing I think you could do, is make the endermen have glowing white eyes. Faint, but there, and you could make the Ghast and Vex transluecent, giving an impression of them being ghostlike. Thanks for the quick feedback!

The mint chocolate theme was intentional, but it wasn't supposed to be ice cream specifically.

The endermen DO have white eyes... but they are very faint. Mainly because their entire heads are ghostly. Very spooky. :P

And no, I can't make the Ghast and Vex translucent. This is a technical restriction of Minecraft. Believe me, I already tried in both cases and MC just won't do it.

What time do people on your server play? I might jump on at some point if I'm feeling like it.

Around 6:00 EST. At least that is when I try to get on. My other Owners join then. You'll be a VIP simply because you made the pack, so if you chose, you can have one special effect. We're still starting, but we'd love it if you stopped on by!

This is really well made. It reminds me of Super Metroid!
