It’s because either the mossy skeletons were potentially created by the orb of dominance shard, or the fact that the bogged is a more unique concept and making a new mobs allows for more variety in textures.

The Bogged is a bit different - it has less health, can't turn into strays in powder snow, and takes longer time between attacks. The skeletons with poison-tipped arrows were just placeholders in the trials, and now they show up in swamps, unlike before when skeletons with tipped arrows didn't spawn there.
