Mud bricks are my personal favorite so I might be biased, but I believe they are also the most consistent brick texture when looking at how the sides transition to the top or the bottom, so they require a lot less suspension of disbelief as other bricks. This is a game so it doesn't need to be perfect, but those such as me who notice can rejoice in this mod, that changes nether bricks into mud styles. Chiseled nether bricks were also remade into ghast faces.

THE GHAST CRYING !!! I don't understand how Minecraft doesn't add it in a block like this yet, it's a very vanilla texture, I love it !
