Welcome to Programmer Art Deluxe!
Programmer Art DX adapts textures from the latest updates into a style that intends to clash less with programmer art.
The pack covers textures starting with Update Aquatic and up through the 2026 spring drop. Trapdoors, Planks, Leaves, Honey, Netherite, and much, much more!
With this having been a personal pack of mine, my view on how stuff should be interpreted differs to other packs sometimes. The textures are made to resemble the direction taken around 1.7-1.10 as opposed to alpha or beta, so I'd recommend this if that matches the feeling you want to evoke.
Enjoy! I hope you can give this a try. It's still in development so check back in the future for updates! You may be interested currently in using it as a supplement not only to programmer art (which goes below this pack), but also to another fuller pack* if you like the flavour, style, and era of my pack, but still want more things patched for now.
Note: I'm almost done with plank textures, but if you want the new signs and boats to be done, I recommend Vanilla Tweaks' Old Planks, which goes below programmer art so that you don't ruin textures already in the latter (like beds).

Features: (Exhaustive, not recommended)
- Raw ores have completely new textures somewhat based on their first texture shapes. I tried to make a slight form pattern.
- Powder snow bucket has been redone with a different snowball in the old bucket.
- The axolotl bucket is close to the minecon design, although with some modifications for clarity.
- The small dripleaf, spore blossom, and cave vines have a new look based on the concept art for the game.
- Pigstep is programmer art netherrack coloured instead of the new netherrack colour! Tears uses that colour as well.
- Netherite armour and tool items have textures with similar tweaks differentiating them from diamond and iron.
- Used math to make the warped wart block and netherite block.
- Copper horse armour has a completely unique design as well as a programmer art item.
- The wandering trader mixes an official iteration with new shading and the classic villager hood.
- A new model and textures for chains.
- Weeping vines have a new shape based on the programmer art vine shape like how the new textures are the same shape too.
- Textures for copper ingot and nugget, glow frame, suspicious stew, mace, crossbows, new torches, ominous bottle, candles, black dye, glow ink sac, and torchflower seeds.
- Textures for all spears, copper tools, and copper armour items.
- Textures for the zombified piglin and pillager similar to programmer art counterparts.
- Allay, vex, & bat have larger textures mapped onto their current models
- The happy ghast and its harness are the old resolution
- Polished blackstone bricks keep the skull details while otherwise based on the programmer art stone bricks.
- Textures for nether fungi, warped fungus stick, crimson roots, and nylium that actually goes in the cracks!
- Powdered snow looks like the snow block but powdery.
- Recovery compass is a taller, darker, sculk themed compass!
- Trapdoors added in 1.13 now better match the doors they're based on.
- Music disc 5 is broken like 11 but still infested by skulk like vanilla in all the cracks.
- Tinted glass has streaks resembling programmer art.
- Grindstone uses programmer art smooth stone.
- Nether stems (top and side) and their stripped versions (top) as well as the planks have been changed.
- The pink petals item is based on the devlelopment screenshot with the dandelion texture.
- Cherry leaves have saturated dandelion-shaped flowers with small green leaves underneath.
- Textures for mangrove logs, planks, and leaves are built on jungle.
- Cherry and pale wood have been retextured as well.
- Creaking texture using the equivalent pale log texture
- Blue ice has streaks styled like the early glass texture, but in the old-new position.
- Azalea leaves are similar to other leaves but have slightly larger leaves and gaps.
- Relic is the same colour as the other discs but part of the label is the old outside colour.
- Trial key and spawner textures, as well as the breeze.
- Pre 1.13 fish with a few colour tweaks including the new cod colours. The buckets are also the old shading.
- Non-oak sign items have more depth to their colour like oak does, while hanging sign items are now in PA style.
- Honey bottle is in old bottle and has a unique inside.
- The honey block is the MineCon version, including the block model. (Thanks to the Minecraft Wiki's recreation)
- Textures for the smoker, fletching table, lanterns, lily of the valley, turtle helmet, suspicious blocks, turtle egg block, dried ghast, crafter, golden dandelion, and respawn anchor.
- Status effects from 1.14-1.19 and conduit power and the omens.
- All textures involving heart of the sea have a more monument themed look.
- Tadpole bucket's water is tinted the beta 1.8 swamp colour and in the old bucket.
- Unique item texture for frogspawn based on old fish spawn eggs.
- Added 4 new frames to the original compass to remove duplicates, and updated the shading of the golden apple.
- Unique banner pattern textures based on the unused banner texture.
- The brown mooshroom is now properly with Programmer Art shading.
- The firefly bush is slighty based off of wheat, while fireflies are glowier and falling leaves look less like leaves to work better with spruce.
- New model uv fixes for the horse armour and villager base.
- Some villager professions have been reverted to classic robes, with the stone mason using the miscoloured key art robe.
- The trimmed armour items are based on Gabriel the Warrior's armour from MCSM, while the diamond and gold palettes have been adjusted.
- Saddle textures for the strider, camel, camel husk, and nautilus.
- Empty slots for smithing better match programmer art.
- Some effect particles including omens now look closer to the normal effect particle.
- The wither rose is the shape of the old rose but still has eyes and has a more wilted stem.
- Textures for the biome variant eggs and classic textures for new mobs' spawn eggs.
- Brown dye, leather horse armour, and dried kelp blocks have development textures not accessible in the game.
- The new door items have 2 hinges, different handles, and Programmer Art detail style.
- Chiseled nether bricks use the old wither skull, and cracked nether bricks are consistently positioned.
- My ore shapes are included to make them visually distinct but still closer to programmer art.

Fairly overdue are many pale wood textures, as well as getting in many textures from Mounts of Mayhem! This update also includes multiple mob textures, which is unusual and I'm very happy with.

As a general note, this is by far my favorite PA pack since the style is a bit more like later programmer art as opposed to beta/alpha. I'm just glad there's a large enough PA community still out there. Look forward to it.
I'll probably have a patch in July because of the ominous spawner
