I have only started with the terrain file but I plan to finish it by tomorrow afternoon and will be able to get started with armors weapons and tools (most used items in game get textured first) My name is Rawr_Inc and I got tired of having no texture packs similar to what I wanted so I went grabbed some files from my minecraft.jar and got to it in GIMP. I plan to fully customize the texture pack to fit my likings. I will provide updates for everyone who decides to try it out too :)

Simple, go to youtube. They have hundreds of tutorials :)

This was honestly uploaded as the beginning of my first texture pack but my friend wanted to check it out so I uploaded it here so he could download the updates of it without me sending it to him.
