Sorry to say I accidentally deleted the files when I did a system restore :/. Wasn't aware that %appdata% files were only temp files. So all my work is gone, unless somebody still has the files and wants to send me a download link.

It was last tested on 1.7.2. I'm not planning on releasing any updates any time soon. However, since minecraft doesn't change its texture pack system very often I'm pretty sure this pack will be forward compatible with 1.8.1. Give it a try! Note: you will need a fairly fast computer to use the full resolution textures.

Thanks! I did a little research and learned that Japanese tatami mats always have a 2x1 ratio of length to width, which is convenient for minecraft. Since each mat needs to be made up of two blocks, and their are two possible orientations (horizontal and vertical), I needed four different blocks to make any combination of rice mat floors. So I simply replaced the coal, emerald, gold, and iron ore blocks - blocks nobody ever uses in creative anyway - with the tatami textures I made. Of course, this would not look very good in default textures but that's the price you have to pay.
