In my opinion, if you put the backpacks in the place of shulker box on the floor, and leave invisible in hands will be perfect.
ahh.. and when you are charging the crossbow, the texture get weird.

Well, I can't copy their work, but I can make a new version of the backpacks with simpler textures. I will also make them invisible in the first-person view; since some people requested it.

Looks pretty good! Only one thing I have to say... is it possible for the backpack to be invisible in your hand from first person?

I'm pretty sure it is, with item models, you can change how they appear in your hands, first person and 3rd person, + item frames and inventory slots. I think it's possible to just move the box off camera, and it won't affect 3rd person viewing.
