    This resource pack removes the legacy block shading that darkens the sides and bottoms of blocks. YouTubers such as Grian and Mumbo Jumbo often use mods like Simply No Shading that disable legacy block shading to brighten up the game, but with this resource pack, you don't need any mods at all, and it will work in snapshots, too!

    There are versions of this pack from 1.16 all the way to the latest snapshots!

    He uses Optifine's New Lighting option in the shader settings. Works on Iris too with a blank shader.

    Yes, though I'm pretty sure he uses a mod to accomplish the look. Not sure if it's Optifine or Simply No Shading.
