This is me and my friends texture pack called "The Pack". Its aimed to take a simplistic idea to the textures, get rid of potions (in the future) and also to change the looks of some items and item names. This is the texture pack for the mod that will be coming up later on in development.

*UPDATE 12/12/11* The update today is just an update from the 1.9 terrain.png and items.png to the minecraft full release versions of these files (a couple of items would have been invisible and one block would have had no underneath to it). As far as i am aware there is nothing else updated in this version.

Been a while transferring over to my new laptop and had lots of work to do but soon i intend to update. the terrain.png has been finished and and other stuff like that nothing majour but im going to contact my friend this week coming and get a copy of the finalised terrain.png. so keeps your selves updated :D

your pack is acually quite good, but your first image states otherwise. My sugestion: Take away your first image, as it is the thumbnail for everyone to judge your pack by its cover

thanks for the feedback ill get to it asap, i've been into the action of changing all my stuff over to my new laptop so i havent worked on it but i am going to work on the mod soon and i will upload an updated terrain.png soon

I have a suggestion. Don't put complete solid colors on anything. People don't like that

That's still too simple, you can't have just 2 different colors, you need different shades. Even the best simple, minimalist packs have MULTIPLE shades of every color to make it look good. Also, when I say different shades of the same color, I mean really close together shades with only small differences

In fact there are many popular ones which are alike ours but so we dont copyright anyone we are making our own texture pack with similarities and then adding or changing stuff to meet the texture pack needs.

OK I'm looking for some ideas for the other items and blocks so if you have any ideas post them here. I'll do the best i can to follow those ideas.
