![Voxilla [v1.2.0] Minecraft Texture Pack](https://i.imgur.com/Nne5P3e.png)
NOTICE! : This resourcepack currently on hiatus!
Voxilla is currently only for 1.20.0!
Mojang keeps updating the game faster than I can keep up, and I've been focusing on other projects for the time being. I'm actually developing a game at the moment, Waking Dreams! I do plan to return to Voxilla someday, however, when that will happen is undecided as of now. I do apologize to the, maybe 5 people, who've been anticipating the update for this pack, as I did promise the v2.0.0 update a long time ago. That's scope creep for ya!
While this project is currently on hiatus, I have added a LARGE number of features since the launch of v1.2.0 nearly 3 years ago (fucking hell it's been awhile sorry). This is including, but not limited to, 3D flower models, a 3D sun & moon, updated redstone components, nicer vines, new adorable rabbit models, and more! Most of these features are "done", they just lack the polish, and with every new update Mojang releases breaking things, I've gotten rather discouraged to even keep working on it.
Seriously though, Mojang not following semantic versioning REALLY gets on my nerves. You can go up one "patch" version, and all of your mods and resourcepacks are broken beyond belief. I wish they would break the game less frequently so modders can keep up for fucks sake.
Voxilla aims to improve consistency, clarity, and visibility while keeping the vanilla feel!
This mainly just changes textures I don't like or improves the overall quality of life. Future updates will come out, be it bug fixes or new features, so stay tuned! I recommend using this alongside Stormilla, it was built with it to be used with it in tandem.
Some features require OptiFine or Fabric alternatives (for things like Custom Entity/Item Models), but the pack will work regardless! Not everything is shown in the images, but there is a full features list below!
❣Feel free to PM me or leave a comment for bugs, feedback, and suggestions! ❣
The Pack's Design Philosophies
- Try to keep everything as consistent as possible, unless it makes intuitive sense to not have it consistent.
- Add subtle hue shifting where needed (such as the Redstone palette).
- Consistent palettes across blocks of the same type.
- Functionality and consistency over realism.
- However, make things more akin to reality in a vanilla way.
- No lazy copy-paste + recolor textures (ex. all of the planks).
- Pixel consistency! Mojang has slowly been attacking these one by one (in recent example; Bats, Vexes) but there's still stragglers.
- I won't drastically alter major building block textures. I want this pack to enhance your builds, not make them ugly!
- Add variety where needed (ex. flowers, crops, etc).
- Make things 3D where they should be, however not so much to where it diverts from the vanilla style (blocky and minimal). Some things just don't look right as the old trusty billboards.
- This also applies to textures! Textures should look less flat if they're meant to convey depth and intricate detail.
