making it visible in first person is just a matter of adjusting the model position in first person, i just figured that id make it invisible as a lot of people use resource packs to hide their totems and you can still tell that you have it equipped by looking at the off-hand slot

i play in windowed mode with a resolution of 1101x620 and still barely get 60 fps, plus my brain ignores the hotbar until i need to see it to swap items
