This is a personal project by Zack Simon (a.k.a. Jehkoba), influenced heavily by classic SNES JRPG's, tabletop roleplay, and low-res adventure games. It offers an illustrated, painterly style that brings more vibrancy of colour and warmer tones than the original textures.

In case the link on this page goes down, here's a handy
Mirror Download, ad-free, from my website: Download

(I also offer a legacy download for 1.12.2 and below.)

This is a full graphic overhaul, complete with new vanilla-ready 3D models and variable textures for a number of blocks and items including crafting tables, torches, ladders, rails, doors, grass, dirt, bricks, cobblestone, and more. Text has also been changed to reflect new textures and theme:

Update #60 - Moar Fixin's : 11/11/2018 4:07:16 pmNov 11th

I scooped up a cod in a bucket yesterday, and audibly sighed. So, Fish in Buckets have been made current.

I've also aligned my Cod and Cooked Cod icons with the taupe colour scheme of the fish swimming around, because they don't magically turn blue when they bite a hook.

Lastly, Beet Crops had a broken file name for a while.
Then they were fixed, and mine broke. Now they're both 'aight. ♥

Nice! There are a few little things I'd like to point out however; just a bit of constructive criticism.
First off you might want to add a little note, warning that it only works in 1.13; I tried it in 1.12.2 (I always use that mode because I can't stand the new way the commands are lain out) and what I found was that all of the GUI was working properly but none of the blocks changed, after it was in 1.13 it was fine though. Next, some of the colors on the blocks were eyebleedingly bright, particularly Birch Leaves, it was almost painful to watch after a while. If you could sort of dull up some of the colors that would make it much nicer. And finally; Some of the item name changes were a bit bothersome. I spent about ten minutes trying to find a book and quill, and found it was changed to "Journal".
Again, not of this was meant to be rude, and beside these few things it's an incredible texture pack.

Hey, Dovah - thanks for the feedback. :)

I hear you on the birch. Some of the changes I've made are very much a personal preference thing. My inspiration for the birch, for example, comes from an amazingly vibrant street in my home town where, in the fall, the leaves are actually that shockingly bright gold. I wanted to bring a bit of that into the world of blocks.

As for the journal, sorry for making you hunt for it. :P
Its so pure :D Ive been looking for this kind of texture pack for months

Hey, Jobs. :)

You're welcome to go into the .zip file and delete the language folder (assets > minecraft > lang). That'll get rid of all the new terminology. Some of the items might seem a bit odd with the original names next to them, but that's just my take on it.

Hey there!

To use the pack, you have to paste the whole .zip file into your resource packs folder,
then select it from the options in game. In Minecraft, in the menu, there should be a
couple buttons like "resource packs" > "open resource packs folder" (YouTube has
hundreds of great tutorials for this.)

Let me know if you're still having trouble once you've got it in game. :)
I really do love this pack, but I was playing the new update and lots of the textures weren't working including sugar cane, crafting tables, and furnaces, could you move it into the latest update and fix those? I know how much work it must take to do this sort of thing, not trying to rush you or anything, take your time and make it look awesome! its just kinda weird that the textures I mentioned were not working, as they were introduced before the update. thank you!

I'm pretty sure I damn near gave myself a heart attack with those ones, too. rounding the corner of some gold-and-diamond-filled cavern to a hiss and three dark shapes emerging from the gloom all of 5 feet away...

Anyways, they're a bit less jump-scare-y now. :P

I LOVE this texture pack. Somehow it's hard to find texture packs that have so much personality yet still keep a similar colour scheme of the updated official default texture pack. There are a lot of strong points that I enjoy about this pack, but I'll state some constructive criticism for now. I could not enjoy it for too long because I had to trade some enchants with people in the server and I could not look through the enchants easily. I personally can't play with texture packs that rename so many of the items – it takes too much effort for me to try and decipher what they actually are. Perhaps you could upload a version without the renames; I would be so happy with that. Also, why is jungle wood so much darker than dark oak? Why is dark oak just oak and oak now apple? You have a pack that visually translates well from vanilla so I was surprised that you changed the colour so drastically for dark oak and jungle wood planks. And a smaller issue for me is that the chiseled quartz block should have a little less contrast or grey; quartz blocks in general should look white and clean and not make modern builds look almost "dirty".

Other than what I've listed, everything is top notch. Definitely a fan. Have a diamond and all the other good stuff :)

EDIT: Oh my girlfriend showed me a way to change the names back to default! Also, we think that the stone is too white and bright. Making it have a more natural stone colour would be amazing.

Hey, Cellby. :)

Thanks so much for the feedback - I appreciate you taking the time to do a deep dive and report back.

I hear you on the enchantment names. making edits to them can be confusing sometimes, especially if it's unexpected. With this pack, I wanted to streamline some of the names for my own enjoyment, as well as making one or two nerdy D&D references.

For jungle (cocoa) and oak (apple), each tree drops the fruit of those real world species. I matched the names to their IRL counterparts, but wanted the lumber they produce to match the names as well (same with spruce, for that matter.) I did a similar thing with flowers and dyes, picking real plants and trying to match them up with the game code as best I could.

Lastly, the stone and quartz blocks I get aren't what might be typical (stone is usually darker, quartz lighter.) these are purely aesthetic choices for me and how I use the pack. I want stone, stone bricks and cobble to be softer on the eyes and contrast with Apple planks and logs (a combo I'm fond of.) As for quartz, I wanted it to contrast strongly against the netherrack it's natively adjacent to, but mix a bit more smoothly with the overworld blocks. having them a brighter white left me using them less with other stones.

In short, all the things you've bright up are good points, but they're also choices I've made for my own enjoyment of the pack (which I use whenever I play.) I get if you'd rather not play with it for your own reasons though, and that's completely legit. :)

Hi Jehkoba! I reallt like the work you’ve done with the texture pack, although recently, I downloaded the pack through MCPEDL, a website that contains many texture packs, add-ons and resource packs for us to download. The pack, for some odd reason, was successfully imported, although once activated, it BROKE Minecraft PE. The settings, worlds, and even skins were inaccessible, and nothing was showing up. Please release a bug fix for this, or at least a way to get rid of it. I can no longer play MCPE with this.

Hey, Selective - I've asked Mechanic to look into this and removed the link to his port for the time being. Sorry again to hear about the glitch. :(

Do please let me know if/when this gets resolved? If need be, I'll look into porting the pack myself.
Hi Jehkoba! The pack has yet to be fixed, and the amount of “haters” on the MCPE DL comment section have grown since the last 2 weeks. It seems like it only happens to a few people, because a friend of mine (who uses the same IPad model as mine) successfully imported it, and uses it with no difficulty. He would occasionally experiences crashes, though.

I appreciate the update, and wish I could be more help, but I've got zero clue what Mechanic's done to make things go so wonky sometimes.

Like I said before, I can look intro making a port for bedrock myself, but am not sure how soon that could happen.

For the moment, thank you for the update. I'll send Mechanic another message asking him to look in to it, and hope something gets resolved soon.
