Jehkoba's Fantasy Pack

This is a personal project by Zack Simon (a.k.a. Jehkoba), influenced heavily by classic SNES JRPG's and low-res adventure games.

This is a full graphic overhaul, complete with new vanilla-ready 3D models for a number of blocks and items including crafting tables, torches, beds, ladders, rails, and more. Text has also been changed to reflect new textures, such as:

Wooden Sword --> Wooden Club
Stone Sword --> Stone Dagger
Ender Pearl --> Warp Stone
Porkchop --> Bacon
Witch --> Grumpy Mage

The pack is always being revised, and I love feedback on possible improvements or bug-fixes.

Update #5 - Between Stone and Dirt : 03/07/2017 6:41:22 pm3/07/17

I realize I haven't liked the texture for hardened clay for some time. It looks too much like it's softer, malleable counterpart, and I found myself getting confused at times, even as the one who made the silly graphic.

It was also brought up that the texture for Gravel clashes somewhat against the standard stone. Considering the one is sort of supposed to be a byproduct of the other, that seemed an easy fix.

Therefore, gravel and hardened/stained clay have gotten an update (along with Cauldrons, for no particular reason.)

Hope you like the new look. :)

Update #4 - "100%" : 02/22/2017 7:13:23 pm2/22/17

I realize I'll be making edits to this thing for (probably) years to come. I'm upgrading it from 95% because, as it stands, we're golden. Everything works, and it all looks good. Textures that are only slight tweaks of originals will still be worked on in the future (horses and rabbits, I'm looking at you), but we're at the finish line as far as "in progress" goes.

If anyone has further suggestions, I'd love to hear them. ♥

Update #3 - Got Wood? : 02/19/2017 3:02:10 am2/19/17

Something was brought up earlier today about logs (Thanks to ThatGuyJake94) - the fact that they've got deeply shaded edges. This didn't used to be a thing when every tree was only 1 block around, but there are more large trees now than 3 years ago.

So... I fixed it. All logs should have a very similar feel to what you're used to, but with sides that blend more smoothly into each other, both vertically and horizontally.

Also, vines and stuff. ♥

Update #2 - Let It Burn : 02/18/2017 6:07:30 pm2/18/17

Fire is one of the textures I've avoided longer than (almost) anything else. It wasn't until recently I felt confident enough to tackle something this flowing and dynamic, but I'm really happy with what I ended up with.

Included in this update is a brand new flame texture, along with a handful of additional GUI tweaks and more item optimization. I'll be working to build some more showcase-y maps to better display all these pixels I've been pushing around, with new, more impressive screenshots in the near future.

Update #1: GUI Overhaul : 02/16/2017 8:57:22 pm2/16/17

So, to celebrate the launch on Planet Minecraft, I've decided to pour about a dozen hours into a full GUI update. As it sits, every menu has a cohesive theme, minimal palette, and just enough decoration to keep it interesting.

I've stripped out most of the menu titles for the 4 English language packs ("Inventory", "Crafting", "Furnace", etc.) and will be keeping my eyes peeled for strays. (If anyone finds some I've missed, do please drop a note!)

I've also slimmed down the file bloat that's been building up (was over 4mb, now closer to 3), tweaked a handful of items (mainly positioning on-screen) and tried to unify any older elements with the new scheme.

Have fun, gang. ♥

(EDIT: I've gone back in and refined the files even further. The initial update felt a bit high-contrast, and I wanted to soften the look of everything a touch more.)

Way to make a guy blush, Addict. :)

My one biggest piece of advice is, start with the basic blocks. Figure out what you build from them, and expand using your textures. Got your basic log and plank texture? Use those colours to define wooden parts of other blocks. Figured out what stone looks like? Make cobblestone something that could come from it.

In short, use the work you do to inform more complex blocks and items, and you'll build a really cohesive feel for the whole thing. :)

Also, define your colour palette to your own tastes. Things don't have to look the way they do in real life, so long as they have the feel you want them to.
Cute as a button. Or should I say "posh". Totally using this.

Hey, friend. The issue is, this has been an intermittent thing. I downloaded this exact file from this site myself after the last update without a problem, and then it started up again. Since then I've refreshed the file a few times, sometimes working, sometimes not.

There's a ticket in with the mods to look into it. I'm re-uploading again this morning on the off-chance it helps. Also, if you're curious about the pack, it's also available from my site: http://www.jehkoba.com/jehkobas-fantasy.php

Hope that helps. :)
Download link is down, how bad i wanna try it

I'll be getting to the stuff that looks more standard eventually.
Double flowers I've been noticing stand out a lot the last while, so
they may get bumped up the ladder a bit. Thanks for the suggestion. :D

I've been noticing a lot of trouble with the links the past week or so... I'll try re-uploading and see if that helps.

EDIT: Link should be working now!
I just had another thought; on mountains, gravel is a pretty harsh contrast to the stone currently. Maybe a lighter tone to blend better?

ThatGuyJake94, Jehkoba's fantasy pack has been on MinecraftTexturePacks.com for like 3 years now and it is strange to just have it been released on PMC now, That is why I asked.

Hilariously enough, I didn't submit the one to MCTP. I'm not sure who did, but as it's fully crediting me, I didn't see a need to report it. :P

Dude, this is awesome! Best new pack I've seen for a while. One of the only things I can think of to improve it is maybe less edge shading on logs? Or maybe just smoother, but it looks better when you make larger trees or stuff like that. Take it or leave it I guess.

That's a fantastic suggestion.

I think my log texture is still from before 2x2 trees were a common thing. Revamp in the works. :)

This looks awesome! I always appreciate when people's texture packs look good at lower resolutions. I especially appreciate your leaves - I've been trying to get leaves to look good in my texture pack for the longest time, but it just hasn't worked out! xD
