I guess that one could call this a mix between rustic and medieval that tries to add detail while still (hopefully) retaining the original feel of minecraft.
That's why I tried to stay close to the default textures in terms of overall structure and colour, though it may be a bit more vibrant.
There's still a few things I'm not yet satisfied with, a few that are just entirely missing or have minor flaws but I hope that you will like it nonetheless.
Previously called JoeNoeDoe-Pack.

Thanks for giving it a try.

Hiiya ChesterChair,
I have been using this texture pack for so many years that I cannot use anything else as it doesnt look as good or feel like the same game c,:

I love this pack so much and I just wanted to know, is it being worked on to be fully updated? Would be amazing if so!
Thank you so much for you time and effort.
Happy crafting!

Can't wait for your new 1.13 update. So excited! :D

Ive been working on updating this texture pack to 1.13, so far I haven't added any new 1.13 textures but i have got most things ported and working as well as updating the paintings to much better HD anime pictures. As far as 1.13 features go i know that all blocks and items need to be added as well as the new particles and effect icons for slow falling, conduit, and dolphins grace. If anyone wants to check out the progress and let me know what they think it would be greatly appreciated. Here is the link for the 1.13 beta www.dropbox.com/s/e0qia3wuj4c8159/Persistence%201.13%20Beta%202.zip?dl=0

Edit: Latest Optifine Pre-1 fixed the remaining issues from the 1.12 port, so starting on adding the new 1.13 textures.
Is this still being actively worked on ? I hope so! Would be a terrible shame if this pack was dead. This is my fave pack next to Chroma Hills. Absolutely love the style!! Thanks.
*bump* Please finish this! Thanks.

By far, one of the most detailed packs that don't hurt my eyes while walking. Does not lag or crash either. I played with a few textures, but I always have this one on. I'll never go to default settings again. This made me excited to play Minecraft again. :D

Hello ChesterChair!

Thank you very much for this awesome resource pack. I was always a big fan of Ovo's rustic redemption, and I was very sad when I've found out it's not getting updated anymore. So you resource pack saved the day! :-)

Just one little thing: When do you think CTM for Glass Blocks and Windows will be ready? I'm building a lot with Glass because I like bright buildings. So CTM for those would be totally Awesome. I tried to add it by myself, but even with a Guide I didn't managed it :(

Hi ChesterChair !
I think a lot people love your resourcepack (like me) , and i also love shaderpacks (SEUS renewed!) - but i miss POM in your resourcepack . so i did it for myself and it looks absolutly AWESOME!

Here my question:

i am allowed, to post the "POM support addon" for your resourcepack here an planetminecraft? I have not changed any of your textures! i only made the POM support!

Please let me know!

You have to wait for the countdown at the top right corner of the screen and then it will take you to the download screen.

This is the most amazing pack i have seen in a long time. Amazing work <3
A resource pack that is playable in survival mode is a good one, and this pack executes it beautifully.
love this!!!
This resource pack shouldn't marked as 100%, reason is:

• Some items are not done yet with default texture still

• Shulker box + anvil UI are not done

• Enchanting symbols are default

• Odd painting choise (high quality frame but default art is kinda eww)

• Something kill fps at certain direction when i look at (yes i do have a super pc so don't blame it)

There could be more but i may didn't find out yet, this cmt will be updated when i find more

I really love this texture pack the blocks and textures are amazing and somehow help me will FPS lag, and a big amount of the weapon 3D item textures are see through, Block and the blocks items that i have looked at are not glitched or see though, I don't know if anyone eles is having this problem.

Oh wow, I scrolled down the comments... You drew these yourself?! They're amazing! And I was coming here to complain about the paintings. xD Now I feel like a little shite. This pack is awesome despite the default paintings. I'm sure I can find a mod to pair with it that only changes paintings. Thanks for this pack!

ETA: Actually, with the way Minecraft packs work now, can't I put a second resource pack under yours and it'll only replace whatever you haven't done (meaning, the paintings)?

ETA again: Nope, it doesn't work that way. The paintings are the same and it replaced a bunch of your alternative blocks. Darn. Oh well, I'm still sticking with this pack, I love it!

Your dirt is amazing. Best dirt ever.
Logs and bark are completely awesome. So good, wow!
Lava sucks. Garbage!
Doors are great. Cobblestone and trapdoors are very neat.
Marble and gravel kind of meh. So is glowstone.
Nice nether quartz.
Lovely sand.
Weirdest sponge ever. Is it repurposed glowstone or something?
Generally, all the "man-made" block look very good.
Lovely general look, kind of conquest-y.
Many alternative blocks, nice!

Easy to see why the pack is called Persistence: all the textures, it seems, mere drawn in the most work-consuming way possible. Must have taken a lot of persistence to get this beast anywhere near completion.

Thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback.
Yeah, good eye, the sponge and glowstone textures are linked by another texture that was originally meant to be gravel. I found the gravel texture to be one of the hardest to draw, making several different versions of it, without ever quite being pleased with the results. The lava was another texture i really struggled with, especially since it had to be animated. Maybe I'll remake some of these sometime.

And yes, making this was a lot more work than I originally imagined, which is why I never got around to fully finishing it.
Adding to all the kudos you have already received:  I've been on the hunt for something to skin that was more realistic and less pixelated.  I have looked and looked,  downloaded over a dozen and yours is by far the best looking overall.  Some things aren't the greatest, but I can accept it as a package.  Keep it up!!!

Unfortunately, I don't think I can be of much help concerning pixel art guides. While I've certainly read some tutorials, I don't remember any of the them being particularly helpful, so I learned the few things i know by myself. I also don't consider myself to be a good pixel artist, which is why the pack is at a rather high resolution and I've always had problems with drawing the item textures, as they need to have a certain simplicity and clarity while still being interesting. So you probably shouldn't ask me for advice on how to become a good pixel artist, but since you asked, here's how I think you should go on about this: Instead of wasting too much of your time by reading about how you should do things, just try to do them, get started. You'll learn more about what works and what doesn't by trying and failing, and trying again, untill you're satisfied. Get to know the program you want to work with, develop a sense for color, shape and light/shadows. And if you get stuck or don't know how something works, then you can always search the net for inspiration and quick advice, there's plenty. Asking for criticism on a forum and getting specific answers also helps alot. That's all the advice I can give for now, hope it helps, and have fun texturing :)

Yes, it used to be called JoeNoeDoe. People suggested that I should give it a better name, so I changed it to Persistence a while back. Thus, JoeNoeDoe is basically the old version. I hope that doesn't cause too much of a confusion.

I can't find anything else that comes close to this texture pack, I just keep going back to it and with that said...I hope there are some add-ons in your future. Would love some autumn foliage in realistic muted golds, browns, and reds. Maybe, tall grass that looks like hay with flowers in autumn tones. Green foliage gets so unbelievably monotonous. Thanks, I really do love it..

I really love this texture pack it has become my all time favorite its what i want to use all the time but if i may make a few suggestions i was wondering if maybe you could make the glowstone different like more like a lamp, i would love to see a cool design on it like other glowstones other wise it's just very bright and sticks out pretty bad it just reminds me of too much default MC and the lava i think is very very bright i get you are trying to still have that minecraft feel but i feel it looks way too fake, and lastly the trap doors usually if a pack has things i don't like in it i can just cover it with trap doors on my builds but your trap doors have very big rectangler holes and the color for them just seems so off to me i would think it would be  maybe a darker brown. I just think it's suppose to be a trap door but if i saw that it would be pretty obvious it's there i just think maybe making it more well....not obvious lol it would look better? I don't know i hope you get what i mean I know i am putting an awful lot of my personal perfrence in this so if you decided to not make changes maybe you can make an alternate pack? I'm sorry if i offended you in any way not my intentions i just think those would be nice changes. I hope to hear back from you soon thank you for making such a beautiful texture pack! I hope you finish this your last update was a month ago so was wondering if your still doing this project
