Little Improvements: Variated is a resource pack, which is entirely vanilla and does not require Optifine.
It is designed not to make textures look different from vanilla, but instead to randomise some textures so as avoid nasty grid patterns in ores, sand etc. and just make things less uniform all the time and add variation. See screenshots for examples!
You can also get outlined ores in the pack, if you want. Read the spoiler about that below.

- bricks, including stairs/slabs walls
- cobblestone, including slabs/stairs/walls
- end stone
- coal, diamond, gold, iron ore
- concrete powder (all colours)
- dirt and coarse dirt
- glass
- mossy stone bricks, and mossy stone brick stairs/slabs/walls, and infested mossy stone brick
- red and brown mushroom blocks
- cracked stone bricks and infested cracked stone bricks
- gravel
- planks, including new nether ones
- stone and infested stone
- sand and red sand
- birch wood and logs
- terracotta
- crimson and warped roots
- warped and nether wart blocks
- unpolished stones (diorite/granite/andesite), including slabs, stairs and walls
- both types of nylium
- normal, cut, smooth and chiselled sandstone (and red counterparts)
- sandstone, cut sandstone, smooth sandstone slabs (and red counterparts)
- all types of leaves

Outlined Ores Extension
If you want outlined ores for this pack, download both the main pack and the outlined ores extension. The extension should be enabled above the main pack. Outlines all ores, including new 1.16 ones.

i think ive found an issue with this
i have both the variated ore textures and emissive ores addons from the little improvements site
the diamond ore doesnt look custom in-game, and the glow effect looks moved up by one pixel in a weird way
the coal ore also has the same issue, but only when held in hand
it might be happening with more ores as well but i cant tell which textures are custom and which vanilla (rip)

(also i dont have any other texture packs enabled)
