I request that any account that hasn't been active for over two-three years should have their username changed to a series of numbers or letters, due to the likeliness of them not returning. I request so as many usernames people would like have been taken by inactive accounts which seems very unfair, as it is likely the inactive member will never change their name, and the name that people want may be lost forever to an inactive account. Another option is the username could be put as invalid or inactive, and there would be an option to see past usernames of the user. Thank you if this is possible.
set status to Closed, set resolution to Denied, assigned Cyprezz. If there's a name you would like that has not logged in for years & doesn't have content. We can and have freed up the name before.
We will not change the names of accounts that are old unless we are renaming it ourselves for reasons.
What benefit is there to do this? The only use-case I see is that you want a name that a member has and they are inactive. We already say to submit a ticket and we resolve those.
This solution doesn't solve anything except add additional work for very little benefit.
