Hey guys! ok so this is my first blog :) and I know it's been done before, but I want to make sure people know this.
Here is the link if you want to see the video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjSPqcQR_VU(I am NOT responsible for this video. I found it online and thought it was good). So, anyways, I'm gonna start listing out reasons why video-games are good for you! :D

1.They improve coordination
If you are uncoordinated, video-games can actually help with that! If you play video games often, like 1 person shooter games or fighting games, the more you play the more coordinated you get! Now, I'm not going to go all science-y in how this works because you guys would just be bored to death.

2.Helps with organisation
I know it sounds weird, but video-games can really help with organization. You know how you always have a inventory in most some games? For example, Minecraft, World of Warcraft....etc... I mean, it actually really helped me. Last year, I had so much stuff for school and I put most of it in my backpack. My backpack was SO CLUTTERED with junk, but I really didn't care at that time. Once my friend introduced me to Minecraft and I instantly got hooked. I got mad whenever my inventory was unorganized because in Minecraft I like to be prepared :P. So, to get to the point, I related Minecraft to reality and how I wanted to be prepared for class and home. :)

3.Can help you learn
Video-games can help you learn! WOW! I'm not faking it; videogames can help improve your understanding in real life situations. Just today, I was doing my S.R.I. test (tests on how well you can read; your level) and found a question I was having trouble with. I couldn't pick between 'he was feeling unambitious' or 'he was feeling exasperated'. Then I thought, "wait, I know this!". I realized that my experience playing The Sims 3 had helped me in that situation. Ambitious in The Sims means that you will take any opportunity and will ALWAYS try to succeed, no matter what. And the guy in the test was definitely ambitious, so I picked the other one. Another example; today, on my pretest, it had many questions mentioning biomes. I got stuck on one, but used my knowledge of Minecraft to overcome it.

4.Skills
Why not learn some skills for the zombie apocalypse? Plus, snipping foreigners can help prepare you for war, right? What about that art tablet thingy for the Wii? You could learn how to draw a penguin :P These skills are also VERY important for collage applications and being accepted for jobs.

5.Expanding your field of vision
Believe it or not, gaming can expand your field of vision. Take Call of Duty for example; you have to snipe the com. player but also be aware of your surroundings. Most pvp games you have to do similarly with. Plus you have to do so while monitoring your health bar, ammo, player status, and other things included in the games.

6.Speeds up your ability to make decisions
Think about it, your cornered in a cave with no way out. There's a Skele in front of you a zombie behind you and a creeper somewhere close. you either risk it and run, or dig down fast with your diamond pic. You have to make that decision quick before you die ( you have 3 hearts ). If you don't move fast your dead; in other words you're going to have to adapt and learn.

7.Improves your problem solving
In number six you had to do some problem solving. I mean MOST people don't just pause the game and look for a walk-through on how to get out of this situation, you're missing out on the fun!

8.Improves your memory
You know how, in Minecraft, there are a ton of things you have to remember in order to survive? Well right then and there you are expanding your memory system (if that's a thing) to store more...uhhh..memory? Having better memorization can help you with studying or doing a presentation.

9. Improves teamwork and socialization skills
Okay, so here is the stereotypical gamer: A nerdy guy with glasses and weird hair. NOPE. That is completely and utterly NOT TRUE. A gamer can be a pretty teen, a guy with tattoos, an alien from space....etc :) So, I'm SURE that there is probably someone like you, playing your favorite game of course, that you have or haven't met. And, I mean, you need to learn how to communicate with others so you can work together and get more done.

10.You get the gaming experience!
Listen, for all you parents that say video games are a waste of time, THEY ARE NOT. They are like interactive books or movies; a form of entertainment. I mean, yes, it is bad if you play them for too long, and yes, they could be avoiding schoolwork, but most of the time that's not the case. We play video-games to relax or relieve ourselves, like how some people do yoga, or nap, or read. It's almost the same thing.

*SF(special fact):Video-game violence does not make you violent. Losing and lag does. (I'll put that in the next blog)

*SF:Video-games can relieve pain for those who suffered an injury.

*SF:Just plain playing video-games doesn't "rot your brain". If you play for too long it will though.

Hope you enjoyed!!! Diamond for like, favorite for love, comment to tell your opinion, subscribe if you want more! :)
