Hey guys! I'm back with another blog! So recently I've been playing on the Desteria Factions server (pvp.desteria.com) (I ADVERTISED U NOW GIMME STAFF jk) a lot, and that's how I came up with the idea for this blog. So without further ado, I present you 5 types of faction bases, and their pros and cons.
1) The Underground base
This gotta be one of the most common kinds of bases in faction servers. A normal undergorund base would usually have obsidian coating and sometimes with lava and/or water on the outside.
PROS: Can be hard to find, more reinforced.
CONS: Hard to build, can be small depending on availible materials.
2)The Sky base
Probably THE MOST common type of base in factions, these bases are built high up in the sky, and in my experience, usually built completely out of chests.
PROS:Hard to find for sure, unreachable by normally thrown enderpearls.
CONS:Zero reinforcement, unless you're really hardworking.
3)The water stronghold
These are just straight up buildings on the ground surronded by water. Depending on it's size, it can be very hard to penetrate it.
PROS:Can be very hard to break through with enough materials, no need to go deep underground or into the sky to build.
CONS: Can be very easy to break through depending on how much materials you have, easily spotted.
4)The noob base
Yup. Just a normal wooden house right there, in the middle of the plains. No obsidian, no water, no nothing.
PROS: Ummmmm.......
CONS: I don't think I need to say anything here.
5)The GOD castles
These are only owned by the richest of factions. It's a straight up, all-land-claimed, tricked out, booby(heh heh, booby) trapped motherflippin' CASTLE. If you build one of these, you better have enough money to actually build it, put PLENTY of traps, deck out every single flippin' member with enchanted diamond gear and healing pots and have enough power to actually claim the whole thing.
PROS:IT'S A MOTHERFLIPPING CASTLE! Oh yeah, and if you actually build one of these, you probably would have decked out everything, from the members to the castle.
CONS:TNT cannons are a thing, easily spotted, takes a ton of money to build and maintain, if not properly built or maintained, it'll probably get raided in an hour.

I also build my base above the bedrock layer in The Nether sometimes, this is the best place to build a base in my opinion.
