A pale, shining arc of crystal
held by unseen threads
suspended in a never ending sea of darkness
illuminating a night so deep

bathes empty streets in a milky haze
dances on quiet, rippling water
steals your breath away

enchanting, it hangs until dawn
hides again until the end of day
to return again once more
the moon
