I have noticed in life, gamer's have been called out for being "obsessed" with their games.

Well... Depends on the person, but most people are, or have been obsessed with their game at one point. For many people, this love, and feeling doesn't last.

But not for all.

Some people have disorders, making them obsessed with certain things in life. Others just love the thing their obsessed with. Others do it for a job, and always think about it.

Yes, these people are characterized as obsessed with their game, which ISN'T ALWAYS a bad thing.

But what I have noticed is people saying gamer's are obsessed with games, but people who, lets say, really want to be good at swimming in real life, and always think and talk about it, aren't always called "obsessed" with their passion.

Is this because people say gaming is bad for your mind, and learning, and swimming is good for you? Either way, they can both be an obsession according to the definition.

Well, is being obsessed with your game necessarily a bad thing?

Depends on the circumstance.

If it intrudes you learning/work in a negative way, all day, every day, and you constantly get head aches, or other signs of excessive gaming, then yes.

Other people have goals in their games though. Goals are, told to us by our elders, really good!
People with goals in games like, becoming the best Minecraft builder/redstoner, becoming a famous Youtuber, or building the biggest house ever aren't a bad thing if its really what you want to do in life.

Or a limited time in the day of playing isn't bad either.

Playing for money...? (LUCKY IF YOU ARE!)

Supporting charity. (You rock if this is what you do)

Playing with friends. (Whats a friend? Sounds tasty)

The list could go on, and on about the positives in gaming.

my opinion on gaming obsession is it isn't usually a bad thing.

Take note though, most games are made to make you obsessed with it.

Anyway! That's my epic rant on obsession... merry Christmas, and a happy new Thanksgiving???!!!
