I am not swearing. I am announcing my appreciation for the wonders of infrastructure that restrain large amounts of water in order to provide us with electricity and a consistent water supply, but I also am hoping to raise attention to the fact that we shouldn't build hydroelectric damns on water corridors with vulnerable fish populations as they can disrupt the local food and breeding dynamics. But still, in the case of existing damns, which would be more environmentally disruptive to take down than to leave in place, I fully support their operation as they provide power alternative to the burning of fossil fuels and can greatly benefit mountainous communities who may live in a location hostile to the implementation of other forms of renewable energy such as wind power.
