Hey guys, Shane here, with another blog. With my first rant type of thing.
So recently I have encountered people(They know who they are.) saying things such as:
NOTE: The quote below is NOT exaggerated.
"Some guy on my server kept logging in and out for almost an hour, randomly spamming "MINECRAFT STYLE" for no reason, and arguing with the admin both in-game and on the site. I went to his profile and found out he was 11 years old.
NOT BIG SUPRISE"
This is the type of thing that tends to annoy people. Im sure you all know there is pre-teens out there who can be wonderful people, and you wouldn't be able to guess their age until they said it themselves.
But.
There are those out there, who want to be like that, but arent quite there yet. Wannabe Whizkids I like to call them. Here is a special quote from one. NOTE: The quote below is NOT exaggerated.
"i'm twleve and i never am that immature i don't spaw randomly and i'm alot smarter than most players"
See the problem? Its not JUST the discriminators, the victims are kind of bringing it upon themselves. Do I think this blog will stop them? No, not at all. I hope some of the above read this and change their ways. If they don't... Well, they will just be an annoyance to the other side. Whats the point to be honest? Why do you even reply to the discriminators? Why do you care? No matter what anyone does, its the internet. There is bound to be no limit to the amount of complete idiots on it. And discriminators, why do you care about age? Once again, its Planet Minecraft. Minecraft doesn't even have an age rating. You could meet a 5 year old talking like a grown man or woman. Who knows who is behind the screen? Think about it. All those guys you met earlier, could be girls for all you know. Get on with it and accept it. You know it is true.
Conclusion
The discriminators are most definitely not the only reason this continues. Just ignore them, you will be fine. Its not as if they are going to jump out of the screen and strangle you. Get over it. Also, please do not go around bragging how mature you are for your age. It is extremely irritating.

However, on one of the servers I used co-run, there was a policy implimented by the owner of having to be a certain age to be a staff member. It almost got to the point of having to be a certain age to play, but I think we stopped that...
In any case, it really annoyed me, because one of the most useful players I knew was younger than that at his most useful point. Age means absolutely nothing in MC.
