Welcome to Allycraft, a series where I play the Beta version of Minecraft, and you (hopefully) find these blogs engaging, and read them. Anyway, introductions are among my least favourite things, so let's just jump right in.

I started by first creating a new world. This world is in Bata 1.7.3 so there are very few features compared to the modern game, and there are some neat features to take advantage of.

I was spawned in on a shore, with many trees all around me. All trees make oak wood, which means there isn't much variety with wood. Thankfully, I could easily find a cave, and used my newly crafted wooden pickaxe to mine stone and some coal. I did run into some Creepers, but they were quickly dismembered with a sword I crafted.

After that I decided to find food. This version of the game has no hunger bar, and food is instead used as a sort of instant health boost. Eating is also instant, and food doesn't stack.

I then tried to find a nice area to build a house in and decided to move to a fine beach only about 200 block off from spawnpoint.

The beach was technically just a desert that bordered an ocean, but that's close enough, I think. The area had an exposed dungeon, where the sand had carved in (ohhh the nostalgia) that gave me a free bucket and some other basic loot. I also found 3 saddles, which is odd, as I'm not sure if carrots on sticks exist in this version.

I quickly began work on my house. I decided to make a small sock, that lead onto my shop. My ship is tiny but does still look good. My ship is an epic mega-ship but shrunk down at a consistent rate.

Then I decided to make a small strip mine, which lead me down to diamond level. Alas, I didn't find any diamond, only iron. Again, this version has less used for diamond, and the armour is only as good as iron, but I still wanted diamonds.

I then spent a few hours fixing up my ship, and shearing sheep for wool. The wool would help me finish my ships' sails. I then got bored, and made a small, broken hut on a sandy island. I also added a small sunken ship on a beach. Both as decoration. Then I finished my ship, and have named it the H.M.S. Finafore. *operetta intensifies*

Again, I got bored, with no ship to build. I made a huge tower on a mountain--the first of what I hope will be many. The tower is quite large, with it going above even the clouds. The tower has no interiour, and is solely there for looks.

I'm hungry. Both in the real world as I write this (imma go eat something) but also in the game I was hungry. I started a small farm, but realised that just like on real life, the answer was industrialisation. I built the outlines of a wheat farm above the exposed dungeon, and used fences below the farmland so I would need to perpetually keep shifting.

It was far more expensive. I needed over 4 stacks of wood and used several shovels trying to procure dirt. But the farm was done.

After this I started to make a spider farm, as spiders drop string, which I wanted for wool. I made a pit below the dungeon-spawner, and made it so that whenever the spiders spawn, they fell down and lost most of their health. Enough where I could then kill them with only one hit from my iron sword.

I had some trouble with the killing chamber being too far from the spawner thus no spiders fell, but I rectified that hurriedly. I am proud to say that this farm was designed by me, and not just taken from YouTube--though it does highly resemble farms from the site.

Anyway, I hope that maybe this can become a long-term series, and I hope that you enjoyed reading this. Please know that there will be a world download after the 5th blog, if we get that far. see ya!

I don't think it does. I looked around for one, and could not find one.
