Beyond The Unknown
here am I?
She asked herself this, as she looked around. "What happened last night...?" She was worried. She was scared. This has never happened before, and all she knows is that she is in a shabby wooden cabin. Well, atleast it looks like a cabin. One room, a bed, a couch, a table and chair. "Whoever lives here lives like a Spartan... Jeez." Her name was Adalia. Adalia Haggart.
"What could of happened... Where am I?" This question seems to keep popping into her head. Much like a pesky fly who wants a piece of your sandwich flies around your head. She stands up. She was passed out on the floor. "It's cold in here." Adalia said, "I wonder what time it is." Looking around, she sees some food and realizes that she is ravished. Walking over to the table quickly, she sees a loaf of bread. "Well, it is better then nothing." She says as she breaks it in half. After finishing eating, she looks more closely at the cabin, noticing the dust and cobwebs in the corner, and finally, a door. Breaking through, hoping to see at least someone, she is quickly disappointed. "It's a forest... WHERE AM I?" She feels the need to shout, scream as she realizes that she is completely lost. She has no idea what to do, stuck in a forest with no visible marks of any humanity except for the cabin.
Ding... Ding...
She hears this noise, much like a bell. Hoping it is someone, she turns around in a complete circle.
Ding... Ding...
Exploring for the origin of this noise, she walks behind the cabin. "Oh... hello there!" Adalia said. "Will you be my new friend?" The cow just blankly stared back at her. "Well I guess that's a yes!" Happy to have found out that she is not completely alone, she sits down and pets the cow. Filled with a feeling of lack of control, she decides to relax a while and relish the beautiful country side. The sun was just above her head, marking noon. Still, even with the sun at its peak, there was a chill in the air. It was fall.
She shivered.
"I ought to see what else there is around here, want to come with me..." There was a slight pause as she thought for a second: "Jace? I like Jace. Sounds nice." Jace kept giving her the blank stare that all cows manage to posses and hold so well. "Well come on then!" She said, as she tugged his ear. "Lets explore!"

End of Chapter 1.
Post Script.
Well. This was my first attempt at a story - ever. Of course, if I see that people like it, I will continue it. If it becomes very popular, and I have several chapters out, I may publish it as a book. But I doubt that will happen and quite honestly don't want it to happen. I'm not a writer. Lol. Hope you enjoyed it though! Comment your thoughts and any constructive criticism!
