-Cadence- (my story)

Sunlight spread across the vast room as Cadence flung back the curtains. She squinted, then closed them again. Her sandy-brown hair fell in front of her eye, and she brushed it back.
"What time is it..?" she muttered sleepily to herself. Glancing at her watch, she started downstairs to make herself breakfast. Jay was already at the door waiting for her. "Morning, Cadence!" he said, smiling. "Ready for school?" Cadence covered her mouth with both hands. "I completely forgot!" she exclaimed, dashing upstairs again. She pulled on a sweater and some shorts then sprinted downstairs again, grabbing her bag on the way outside.
"See you at school Jay!" she called back, hurtling up the road.
"Uhh... Bye..." he replied.

After eight hours of studying for her highschool test, Cadence was home. The door swung open, and she spun around. "Whoa! Calm down! It's just me, Jay!" came a voice from behind the door.
"Oh... Okay." Cadence replied, smiling. "You'll have no idea what we took home today!" Jay exclaimed excitedly. "What?" she asked. Jay pulled an ender portal frame from behind his back.
"Ta-da!" He presented it. Cadence gasped. "Is it real?" she asked.
"Yep!" he smiled.

That night Cadence sneaked through to the hallway to see the portal they had made, to be sure it was real. Ender particles flared around it, like nothing she had ever seen before. She stared at it longingly, then turned to walk back to her room.
"I don't think so." Came a voice from behind her. She spun around.
"Who's there?" she asked anxiously. The portal seemed to glow brighter. Unnerved, she started to back away from the portal. "Cadence?" came another voice.
"Jay?" she replied. "Uhh... I mean... I was going to get a glass of water!" she explained. Jay stepped out from the shadows. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" he asked.
"Yeah..." Cadence breathed. They both walked towards the portal, and peered in. "The particles are amazing, aren't they?" Jay asked. Cadence nodded. Jay took a step back, and then yelled and reached out to Cadence. Cadence looked back and saw why. She was falling. "Jay!" she screamed. He leapt forward to try and catch her arm and hold her up, but it was too late. Cadence fell through the portal, screaming until all she heard was her own voice.

The girl woke up screaming. 
Cadence was in a sort of ender-land, it had the same particle effect as from the portal flowing around her. Never had she imagined that her worst nightmare could be so beautiful. Suddenly, she heard a shrill scream behind her, and turned around. It was then that she realised she wasn't in her own body. It was still her, but... Blockified. Her hands had become all cube-like, and even though that was the only part she could see she knew that her entire body had as well. 
She realised that the scream had come from a boy, near her age, who was fighting a shadowy dragon with violet eyes. However, the boy was losing. He wore a silver coloured armour, which seemed to soften the dragon's blows at least a little, and a light-blue sword, which he was constantly trying the hit the shadows surrounding him with. 
"Hey!" he yelled at her. "What's wrong with you? Come and help me- gak!" one of the shadows had thrown a block at him, and he had just narrowly evaded it. She grabbed one of the shadow-creatures, and held onto its neck tightly. Eventually it went limp in her arms, and she dropped it. "What is wrong with me?" she thought. "I just killed a living thing!" Its remains sort of merged together, into the shape of a sword. It glowed at her softly in the darkness. 

Cadence grabbed the new weapon and charged at the dragon. She evaded one of the monster's attacks. And another. And another. After a while she was close enough to slit its throat, and she did so. The thing froze and stared at her, before collapsing. The shadows around them disappeared. 
"Thanks, man- I mean woman!" the boy exclaimed. "You were insane out on the battlefield! And you only had a sword!"
"Umm... Thanks..." panted Cadence, who was still out of breath. "Y-you too..?" 
"Fynn." replied the boy, extending his hand. "Fynn Everlong." 
"Cadence Frosten." said Cadence, cautiously shaking his hand. A boy had never spoke to her before, apart from her brother Jay. A sort of make-shift portal opened up near them and Fynn turned to it eagerly. 
"C'mon!" he exclaimed, as he grabbed her hand and pulled her through the portal

Cadence screamed as she fell into darkness again. Suddenly she heard Fynn speak. "What's up? It's like you've never travelled from the End to the Overworld before." 
She blushed. "Umm... That would be because I haven't..." she muttered.
Then the world fell in around her, and she found herself standing in the middle of a sandy wasteland. "Noooo..!" cried Fynn angrily. "We spawned in a new world! We're in a desert!" He started running off into the distance. "Where are you going?" yelled Cadence.
"To find wood! We need to build a shelter before nightfall!" He replied hastily.
Cadence sprinted after him, and then she spotted some water in the distance. She kept running until she found a forest, full of lush green leaves and dark wood.
"Fynn! I found some wood!" she yelled.
"Great!" exclaimed Fynn, and he ran over to her. "Dark oak wood! We're stacked!" he grinned, and started punching the trunk of the tree. Cadence stared at him, confused, until she saw the block of wood disappear and fall into his hand.
"What are you waiting for?" asked Fynn.
Cadence blushed and started punching another tree, and was surprised to see it dissolve into smaller blocks that seemed to be floating. She picked them up, and started fiddling with them. All of a sudden they shape-shifted into more blocks that looked sort of like floor boards.
"Great! You have tons!" exclaimed Fynn.
She picked them up and started placing them down to build a sort of shelter. She saw the sun go down, and all of a sudden Fynn started panicking. 
"Get inside! NOW!" he yelled. She wondered why he was so scared, and then she realised. There were monsters spawning all around them, closing in on them. She heard one of them groan, and immediately dashed inside. Then she heard a scream and looked out the window. There was someone outside.
The person turned around, and started to run up to the house. They threw open the door, clambered inside and closed it again hastily. They lay on the floor panting.
"Who're you?" asked Fynn cautiously.
"Name's Alexis." grinned the stranger in a londoner's accent. She took off her helmet to reveal grubby blonde hair and pure white eyes with no pupils. She cracked her knuckles. "Now, who knows where I can find 'erobrine?"

Fynn gasped and went pale. "Y- you're-" he started.
"Yup, Herobrine's daughter, 'oh, I'm so scared, la dee da dee da'..." the girl rolled her eyes, though it was hard to see as she had no pupils.
"Who's Herobrine?" asked Cadence awkwardly.
Alexis stared at her. "You've never heard of my dad?!" she seemed genuinely surprised.
"Who's Herobrine?" the girl repeated dumbly.
The boy grabbed Cadence and whispered something to her. "Look, Herobrine is the most dangerous monster in this world. And what's worse, he's her-" He glanced at Alexis. "Dad. She's incredibly dangerous, and we need to get out of here as fast as we possibly can."
"What? No!" protested Cadence. "We just built this house and now we're gonna leave it?! There are more monsters outside! We'll be killed!" 
The boy stared coldly at her.
"Well, we don't have many options, do we? Stay inside and be killed by-" he paused. "Alexis..?"
The stranger nodded and grinned.
"Or go outside and get killed by the monsters?! At least we can fight the monsters, but Alexis is immortal!"
Alexis' face darkened, and a few ender particles started floating around her.
"So, you just 'sume that I'm evil? Like my dad?"
Fynn went pale and started to edge away from the girl, but Cadence looked around curiously. Was the sky getting darker? Could this girl control the weather?
"Oh, I can control much more than the weather," Alexis grinned. "Just watch..."
She muttered some sinister words, and an impressive spark leapt from the end of her finger. Soon there was a flame dancing around her feet, and it was spreading quickly.
"Cadence..." Fynn breathed. "We need to get out of here..."
"But-" started Cadence.
"No, I mean we need to get out of here!" Fynn grabbed Cadence and dragged her outside.
"You can't outrun your own shadow, Cadence. I doubt you can outrun mine..."
