Chapter 2: A casual day.
Luna and her best friend Penni were talking at lunch. Penni was sporting her normal girly casual outfit, wearing a pink short sleeve shirt with a grey skirt. Her light blue eyes went well with the pink, and her medium blonde hair was tied up in a bun for once. “Hey Penni.” Luna asked, in her usual grim tone. “What is it?” Penni’s unusually high tone made it very hard for her voice to sound concerned, though she was trying her best. “I found this weird, weir-“ Luna couldn’t finish her statement before she slightly rudely interjected “What is it?!?” Luna rolled her eyes and finished her sentence saying “Time capsule” Luna was often annoyed at Penni’s immaturity, but she was as sweet as the sugar cookies she often made when the two girls hung out together. “Wow, Luna!!! Wuzinit?” Exclaimed Penni, her eyes widening with curiousity with one eyebrow raised. “A doll, A letter, And an Opal necklace.” Penni jumped. “Did you bring any of the items?” She whispered in a worrying tone, her pale cheeks blushing. “All of ‘em, my friend.” Luna said. She took out her gently sewn look-alike doll. “Wow…” Penni said, her eyes widening with fear. “This can’t be a coincidence…” she added. “Ya think?” Luna retorted sarcastically, rolling her eyes for the second time in their meeting. “Sorry!” Penni apologized. “Don’t worry about it.” She replied. She didn’t know why Penni was always so easily worried she was offending someone. It made no sense to Luna, if you offend someone, you offend someone. That’s it. No harm in being a little cold sometimes. “…Luna?” Penni said slightly concerned. “You haven’t said anything in like, 20 seconds.” Her annoyance at her friend grew. That was another problem with Penni, She always felt the need to be talking 24/7. Oh well. She was the least of her problems with that mysterious box. The bell rang. “Oh well, I guess it’s time to get back in class.” Luna said, quickly walking away without a goodbye.
