Charged Creeper!!! (Crap)

I was playing on my singleplayer survival world when I saw a Charged Creeper!!!! I thought I was screwed. So i built up with my cobblestone so it woudnt blow me up.(Thats why Im in the air) I had never seen one before so I didnt know what to do so I jumped done to face it (bad idea =l ) but it blew me and my house up so I had to rebuild that. Leave a comment below telling me what i should do next time. =1
