Clever Sand

Sand, what can be said? It is annoying, yellowy, falls when you break the block beneath. But sand does have GOOD points.

1. Sand is very useful when you come across a lava pool. You simply drop a piece of sand in, it will sink to the bottom and repeat as they stack.

2. It is used to make glass.

3. Finally, perhaps the best use is a amazing stairway. Place one block where the stairwell will be, then place a torch on one side. Place a sand block on top of the torch so it stays in place. Then place a torch on any the right, front or left and repeat the process until you make the desired shape stairway. It is useful because it can be taken down quickly by hitting the bottom torch and if an intruder is climbing your stairs, simply break the bottom torch and the sand will fall, ending his life.
