Okay everyone, here is PCProf here, and today we will learn about… Command Blocks! When commands are too long for the chat, or are inconvienent for you to type directly into the chat, we turn to Command Blocks!
These special blocks have been around for a while, and as new commands get added into Minecraft, they become even more useful. They are generally used in maps (projects) where the user has downloaded the maps themselves, so the creators cannot be directly there, of course. Some great examples of maps using command blocks are Hypixel's maps. Also, servers use them to manage games. Some, such as Mineplex, have a great deal, but only to create the server, not run them directly.

Command Blocks are also used to run many long commands for special mobs in singleplayer. A great example of a command block used in singleplayer is this one:
