Creative Comments!
Have you ever wanted to just scream at someone for all the little errors a person may have? Such as not posting pictures of their projects, typing errors, grammar, ect. Before letting all those feelings go in the comments; think to yourself... "Is this what I would like to see on all my hard work?" It's probaly not. So insted I would... (examples are in purple)
- Leave some constructive criticism. Don't point out every single mistake they've made, that makes them feel like they really did something bad and/or their post is horrible.
- Leave a generic comment on what they need to work on; "I think you need to work on your spelling a little bit." or "You know, some of your grammar seems to be off, maybe you could fix it?" These more gerneric posts don't seem as hurtful to the poster.
- If you leave a comment as a suggestion to fix something, it's always nice to leave a comment on what you liked about their project(Texture pack, Blog, Mod, or Server) also. "I absolutely loved your choice of building blocks!" or "Your mod is a great idea for minecraft!"
- Saying just plain old 'good job' on a post doesn't help the author. He/she doesn't know what's good and/or what's bad about their project, however if you tell them your main focus and then say good job, that's fine.(Actually it's even better!); "Your server has a ton of griefers... However, good job on it!"
- Do react some how to the project (or whatever it is) by leaving a diamond, a comment(these help a lot!), a favorite, showing it to your friends,or in any way that you can think of! All of that feedback that people give to other members of PMC is what keeps them going!
So, Thank you very much for reading my somewhat of a rant/blog, I hope this helps you post some more creative comments on people's work!
~Kinz~ Remember a diamond, favorite, comment, or a sub help like crazy!
