I'm a noob when it comes to server hosting and I want advice on which service I should go with. Long story short, this blog is to get opinions on the DaddyCheese minecraft hosting services. Soon I hope to be purchasing a server, but I'm not sure what host is reliable and can suit my needs for a EU server. Is DaddyCheese a good service to buy from? Comment on what host you think is good!

Beastnode is beast! I got my minecraft server the in USA, good connection in Europe too, barely ever problems, good support, gotta say they're awesome!

Having owned/configured multiple servers hosted by them, I can say that DaddyCheese are cheap, reliable and have great support. I'm currently using Fluctis Hosting for my personal server and they're awesome too - if you're in the EU you will have zero latency issues and the price is very good.

If you're worried about configuration:

DaddyCheese uses MultiCraft, a tried and tested platform that allows you full management of your files but can automate some things too.

Fluctis uses their own panel which is truly awesome. It's fully configurable, but it's extremely user-friendly too.

I just had a look at Fluctis, seems really good, but I'll have to look in to a lot of things if I want a reliable server that people will enjoy. I'm noobish enough to not know what MySQL actually is, I've heard it plenty of times, but still need to learn the ins and outs of it.

MySQL is a programming language used in databases - it's used by plugins like BigBrother or HawkEye to log block breaks, block places etc. You don't have to use it, as it can be quite the pain to set up.
