So I'm making a blog for the pmc contest ;]
Okay.
I wanted to add dragons to minecraft!
Well, a dragon pet would be awesome ;D You wouldn't be able to craft it but you could find it in different places:
A fire dragon that breathes out fire, you could find it in the nether and adopt him or kill him, if you killed him you might get fire balls or something similar? You could adopt him by giving him blaze rods!
A blue lagoon dragon that breathes out water, you could find him in the normal world but he would be very rare. If you killed him you could get ice maybe? Since you need a silk touch pickaxe to mine it, although its not very useful. Hmm. You could get wings! Yes. Another item c; you can't craft it but you can get it from dragons!
If you adopt a dragon and had a saddle you could be able to place the saddle on the dragon and ride it. The only reasonable purpose of this is for fun. I mean, It would be awesome to have a pet dragon walking/flying around with you all day, right? The dragons would kill mobs, yes. The fire dragon would breathe out fire and could put your house on fire! The blue lagoon dragon could possibly flood your house. If you hit the fire dragon possibly by accident it would hit you back, taking away 2 hearts at least. The blue lagoon dragon wouldn't do anything but if you kept hitting him, it would hit you back, taking 2 hearts at least as well. You can find a baby dragon or a grown up dragon. If you find a baby dragon, he would grow up with you and learn to be close to you and would follow you everywhere, heh. However, if you find a grown up dragon, he would've been used to being alone and wouldn't really stay with you all the time, giving you some free time! Don't forget to feed them regularly! You don't want your pet dragon to starve do you?
Feed them with food, any food. As for all the other animals, you could breed them. With food of course. Luckily you can breed a fire dragon with a blue lagoon dragon and it would make a random one, for example a fire dragon. It wouldn't really improve minecraft, just make it more fun, it would definitely not make it realistic. Yes i know Notch has made a dragon, but its an end dragon, it has nothing to do with my idea.
