It means that you cannot put darker and lighter colours on the components just like the sample

I know what shading is, and it just so happens that I like to shade. what I mean by "what?" is that why can we not use shading. Skins look better if they have shading, and they look more realistic.

I know but the point of this contest is to make more of a cartoon look and allowing beginners to have a better chance of winning since this means that the contest is purely based on creative ideas and not years of shading practice ;)
