my idea is for making power in minecraft. this will work with some type of power holder being powered by coal or water or lava. the power can be used to power tools that work on power so they never break but need charged sometimes. also they could add things to make power more useful like batteries to charge your tools on the go and even make it so you need power to keep your lamps running.
