Endermen. They scare most players (I included). You hear them. You turn around. You see them. It's all the same. You know what happens next. It's either you or the Enderman. Enderman don't actually want to kill you you know. Actually, they just want to be friends. But they can't. They are force not to. They are forced to kill you. Every time you look into their eyes they see your past. They see how amazing it was. How fun it was. But they aren't the only ones who see your memories. Like I said earlier, they are forced. Possessed by Him...

Back in 1.8, when everything was glitched out and had awesome texture packs (Y U NO UPDATE THEM!?), a new creature was brought into the world by our holy God, Notch (At that time). At first, people didn't know what to expect from this new mob. Was it hostile or was it passive? Was it 2 legged or 4 legged? When people first saw the mob, it was usually their last . Little did they know that you were not actually supposed to look at it and if you did, have a staring contest until one of you dies or gives up. Many players were killed. Many lost all their belongings and had to restart their lives all over again. Why would Notch bring such a foul creature into Minecraft? He didn't.

Deep below Minecraftia and deep into the heart of the Nether lived a player. No, it wasn't a lost player. He knew perfectly well where he was. You may be thinking: Why would someone want to live in the Nether? Well. The Nether is like the Overworld to this guy. Now you're thinking: Who is this guy!? Really? I would have thought you would have guessed already. Yes, the man every player feared the most: Herobrine.

He worked his blocks off to get this far. To possess what was meant to be something nice and turn it into pure evil. Well, he succeeded there didn't he? Every day he releases more and more evil into Minecraftia. Notch didn't know what to do! This friendly, helpful mob he created had now been turned into an evil, manipulative creature. All because of a single person. And who knows whether he really exists? He could just be a spirit for all we know. Or just a story.

So, next time you foolishly look into an Enderman's eyes, just remember what happened to it. Remember what its memories were like.

(Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I ran out of icecream and got the radio song from Portal 2 stuck in my head)

Didnt die much... 'cept when that pvp stalker found my base....... died twice then, once to my bed... and once or twice to pigmen.

and i started because my primary server had f'ed up building perms for me.. so i could only build in the nether, so i just lived there, and when the perms were fixed, it was too nice to leave. lol.
