Exploding Beds in Nether

Recently I noticed that beds actually explode in the nether. At first I thought it was a act of herobrine but now i'm just not sure. I also discovered that the explosion is about four times bigger then the explosion of TnT AND it lights things on fire. I was wondering if anyone knew how or why please say so. :)

beds explode because there is no day or night in the nether.

ok, im going to settle this, the reason why is because in the minecraft source code, there is no respawn in the nether at all, so that makes beds explode upon use, the only way to stop this, is if mojang allowed spawning in the nether, but i doubt they will do that.
