I was just derping around in The End one day after i had killed th eender dragon. I got bored so I went home and made a bed. When I went back to The End, I placed it and tried to sleep. Little did I know, IT EXPLODED! I caught on fire and I died, why is this???? Please tell me

It's cuz there is no day or night in the end or the nether, so sleeping in general would be impractical; so notch devised away to keep users from doing it.
