Features We Hope to See in Minecraft
I wanted to discuss some things we might want to see in Minecraft some time in the future. I only listed a few, so please leave your input in the comments.
Seasons
I would love to see seasons in Minecraft. It would be wonderful! Imagine Christmas in Minecraft; freaking awesome! This has been mentioned before by Dinnerbone on Twitter, and Minecon 2013. Seasons could change the color of leaves, weather, etc.
More Structure
I think more structures would be awesome. Do you ever play Minecraft Singleplayer? Probably not; it's pretty boring. Maybe if they added more structures to find and explore it wouldn't be so boring. This also ties with the next thing..,
More Weapons
More weapons would increase the fun of PVP. OP KitPVP isn't really fun because all you are doing is clicking and clicking. It's just a massive clickfest! More weapons would increase the fun of PVP, and add more adventure and interest to the game.
Fog
This is a pretty small feature. Imagine exploring in the swamp and finding a witch hut surrounded by fog. It would make the swamp so more magical.
Friends
A Minecraft Friends list would be fun. You could see what servers all of your friends are on, and join in. If you find someone annoying and don't want them to find you, there could be an option where your friends cannot track you.
Fish
In 1.7 they added more features for fishing, to make it not so boring. But it would be a lot more fun if you could actually see the fish, not just bubbles. And more kinds of fish, too. Imagine you just caught a shark. You could hang it on an item frame in your house and people will know not to mess with you.
Falling Leaves
Small green particles falling from trees would be pretty cool. They would show up on the grass for a few seconds and disapear.
Cosmetic Changes
Instead of the normal crafting pop-up, the top of the crafting table would be at the center of the screen with your inventory surrounding it. I also think that there should be more diverse textures. They could have like 5 different textures for each block, and it would randomly place them. They could also rotate them for certain blocks like stone, mushroom, and gravel. (They already rotate them for netherack, grass, bedrock, and some other blocks.)
