Hi, I decided to make an tutorial for how to make a easy made floating island.
I've been using world edit but you can also do this in MC edit, but this tutorial is specified made for world edit.
The tutorial is made in a few easy steps.
There is a few commands you'll need:
//brush sphere stone 2 or //brush sphere 1 2
//brush sphere stone 1 or //brush sphere 1 1
//replace stone grass or //replace 1 2
//tree tree
//tree bigtree
//set air or //set 0

Start of with finding a good place to make the island, then are you gonna start using /brush sphere stone 2 (//brush sphere 1 2) on a tool(any of the tools) and make a good shape to work with.

After that will you have to flatten the top so it gets a nice flat surface. You can make a region select to flatten it out to, and then you use the command //set air (//set 0)

Now use //brush sphere stone 1 (//brush sphere 1 1)on a tool to pretty up the island, then you'll have to use stone and fix the last details by yourself.

And now are you gonna replace the 2 top layers so make a region-select and type //replace stone grass (//replace 1 2).

Now when the island is done itself can you start making the details, like a water fall, a hill, a water hole, a lava fall etc.

The second step with the details is to add trees, grass, flowers etc.
Here can you use "/tree tree" for small trees and "/tree bigtree" for big trees on any tool.
And bone meal on the ground to make flowers and grass.
And now it should look something like this:
