Hello all! I bring some exciting, but concerning news to you!
Currently, I'm working with a partner to create Ghoulcraft for Bedrock/Pocket Edition. I know this is a HIGHLY sought-after port, and we're excited to bring it to you! However, there are a few snags that we've hit, and we need everyone to understand that some changes will be made, regarding Ghoulcraft -- and we hope that you understand & will do your best to be patient and continue to be the kind & sweet people you've been so far <3
You see -- when Ghoulcraft was first created, I privately messaged Mizuno to ask them for permission to make a "matching" CIT pack to expand upon the gorgeous models they'd already created. I was granted permission -- but I don't think either of us ever anticipated Ghoulcraft becoming as large as it has! This has led to MANY many people requesting the pack be added to Bedrock/PE (it's literally my #1 requested thing, ever!!) and while i'd have loved to oblige, I was unable to due to my health & general lack of knowledge in anything BE/PE.
This pet project of mine has turned my life upside-down in the best way possible, and has definitely impacted the aesthetic-building side of Minecraft (seriously, it's so inspiring & exciting to see Ghoulcraft things popping up on tumblr, pinterest, insta, twitter, youtube -- everywhere!) -- So i'm more than happy to be working with Kao on making an official Ghoulcraft port for everyone! (We'll have an announcement with links, video, and a new catalog very soon!) -- however, a LOT of changes are having to be made before we can release it publicly -- and unfortunately, this affects many other people as well.
The lovely Mizuno, holds ownership of their (incredible, gorgeous, stunning, and creative-as-hell) models & textures (which I believe are nwo available on the marketplace!! Go support them!!) -- But due to the partnership, I am unable to port Ghoulcraft while still using their models & textures. This means that Kao and I will have to make NEW models & textures for everything that Mizuno holds ownership of. (Things like the bucket from the well, the plants on the plant shelves that are not my design, the table legs, and literally anything that uses their textures that aren't 100% made by me -- like the phoenix, reindeer, and boba cups!)
We hope you understand, that this is going to take a little while to implement (as my health is not wonderful, by any means) and that we're doing all of this extra work to avoid any & all legal issues between Mizuno & Myself, and the BE Marketplace. <3 We want to keep producing awesome things for you all, without getting bogged up in who owns what. So to keep things similar, many of the changes happening to BE/PE will also be happening to Java Edition (so new models & textures for all!)
Because of all this though, I must humbly ask that anyone besides Kaomc (the person working on porting Ghoulcraft to BE/PE for me) cease and desist their work on porting Ghoulcraft, or redistributing it. There are far too many complex things happening that would land me (and you!) in a lot of trouble, if you upload those models, and I don't fancy being sued just because someone is too eager to wait a little bit for the official release. (And no, it's not as easy as asking Mizuno for their permission. There's a whole other company involved. We've both talked about it, and this is honestly the easiest/best way to fix it all, PLUS something i'd planned on doing for quite a while now anyway! <3).
I have also placed an obnoxious TOU (Terms of Use) section on every download page. It WILL be updated to include Mizuno's TOU as well, very soon. I know it's not pretty, but it's necessary since i've caught several people reuploading my work and/or claiming it as their own. So it's ugly & formal -- but necessary.
(Here's a copy of it for you to read)
Thank you so much for understanding, and continuing to support the packs & all the work we do <3 It means the absolute world to us, and I can't wait to bring you more things in this upcoming year (no matter what!). I've also got several new projects I'm planning on undertaking that will hopefully be just as exciting as Ghoulcraft for you all -- so keep an eye out for those! <3
