Well, I feel it is time for my first rant. Just something that has annoyed me the last few days. Anyway, rant commence-
Everyone seems to want to make Let's Play videos, YouTube channels where they record "minecraft movies", or try to start groups/clans that revolve around random things. They want to become popular, well known, famous, and respected. Who doesn't want to be popular, well known, famous, and respected? Pretty much nobody. The problem? Everyone gives up and drives themselves into a wall. Driving yourself into a wall is the best way to make sure nothing happens. The reasons why? Lack of commitment, excess of advertising, and no dedication.
Commitment-
You see threads posted where people say "Making a minecraft movie. Reply if you want to join." or "Who wants to make videos with me?" etc. Ever wondered where all these projects go? Nowhere. The creator starts them up, gets a cast, and then just stops. The project dies. What is that? Is it because they got run over by a flying ice cream truck? No, they just realized it would be a lot of work and gave up. Such ideas are a waste of time, space, and calories spent thinking up/reading. Such failures like this are of the absolute worst variety- good ideas given up on due to not caring enough to put that much work into them.
I mean, come on guys. If you're hoping to be famous, you at least need to make something first. Nobody is going to look at a YouTube channel with no videos and think "Wow. This is cool." So point one- Keep working on your projects. Giving them up because there's too much work is a lousy thing to do.
Advertising-
You see threads posted saying "Our Let's Play vid. Watch and sub plz." or "LOOK AT THIS IT'S SO COOL!" etc. Know how successful it is to advertise like that? It isn't. If anything, it creates enemies. Nobody wants to look at your channel when you try and promote it where you shouldn't. It annoys them. It annoys me. So don't do it. You're again- wasting time, space, and calories with such posts. Either find a proper place to promote your channel or don't do it. Seriously. Point two- Advertising where you shouldn't will harm your projects. Following basic rules is a good step to success, and by breaking them you're just making enemies.
Dedication-
This is a silent form of giving up and making sure your projects never reach the limelight. You make good work and you're proud of it, but nobody looks at it or pays attention to it. This is the way things go. People get demoralized when their projects never get popular and give up after a while. Giving up is the last thing you need to do if you have hopes of being a significant character in the community. When you stop trying, your chances drop to zero. Point three- Don't give up.
Conclusion-
If you're not going to follow these three simple steps to make a legitimate project- don't bother posting your silly topics about this or that. I realize that all you reading this are thinking to yourself- "Herp derp I would be able to do all those easily. No problem." Be honest to yourselves- you won't. What separates the successful people that you know of from the rest of the pack is quite simply that they DO follow through. Ask yourself the questions- "Will I be willing to put many hours of boring and not fun work into this project? Will I make sure to not break any rules for the benefit of this project? If I am facing failure, will I give up- or will I think to myself that it wasn't good enough and need to retry and make it better?" If you ever have a millisecond of doubt to any of those three questions- check yourself, listen to some pump up music, and work on better ideas. Have confidence in your projects.
I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it and that you got a few laughs here and there. Just my personal view on what most people are lacking and some general constructive criticism to help the world out.

Writer's remorse or whatever it's called where you read what you wrote earlier and find that a lot of things don't make sense. Anyway, fixed random confusing stuff.
Also added in a note at the end.

Hope to see more from you in the future, S15c
Also I am one of the people that actually like working hard on projects like that I just don't have the time to progress quickly, I take my time, but I do work hard :P
I'm one of the few people that's happy working hard on the sidelines and helping either the team or the leader get famous.
How many times have I seen "Make me this ridiculously hard/incredibly stupid/done to death skin, and you'll be famous because I'm using it on my Minecraft series which will be AWESOME!"?
Too many.
You know how many times I've ever seen any of those series ever start?
None.
I think every kid in America needs to play a full year of football. In Texas. In the summer. With a Christian coach.
They'll learn how to work hard REAL quick.
