So the frame of the helmet has been assembled after some additional cuts and scraping to make the panels fit. Then I had hot glued the sides together where they had to. For extra support I had stuck in toothpicks through each of the edges to hold better in place the panels while I was hot gluing them, and the finished framing of the helmet is there to the side of the table.
Also as you notice I have changed location since there was not enough room in my room for the project to continue (also there is more light). I have also taken a couple of other safety precautions for this next step to come.
Now I have also gotten in the mail this special compound that I will be coating the entire helmet. It states that when the compound cures it should be as hard as a football helmet (depending on the thinness of the coat applied). This stuff is needed to be heated up pretty high to be pliable but it should also stick finely on the helmet. I hope I will have enough of the compound to cover the entire thing.
I will update again when I have at least covered the majority of it.
