The entire day since arival had been anticipation for the stuff that I would see and experience inside, I gotta say it did not let down.

First there was the long 4 drive in and across a couple of states, and fueling up on 5 Hour drinks. Though I made it and with great time to make it on line and chill out with some of the cosplayers on line. (though most of their costumes were bought completly and not of high grade quality).

Since I was early, we get he early bird bags which some stocked with some nice promo stuff and info on the day, as well as chances to win stuff. We still had quite a while to wait in the queque till we could get in, so someone opened up the room for some volleyball, alright.

When they let the mobs loose I bolted for Show Floor, but more specifically I was running for The Behemoth booth. Got to the counter and was asking for the hat. He says $20 but I told him not that one. I told him I wanted the "Special Hat", then he knew what I was after. He ducked behind a bit and came back up with the Ushanka Bear hat LINK. I really don't buy stuff unless I know there is something special about it. One thing is exclusivity and this one can't get anymore exclusive than it already is. These things are hand made and are exclusively sold at PAX East. Last part is that there were only 20 made for sale to the public. Also that they are individually numbered, my hat is numbered 16 (yep I was not fast enough). I was still quite happy to get one for $60, not sure how much they will run on Ebay but 20 is quite a low amount out there.

Next I was free to do some more exploring. Stopped in the Ubisoft booth for the Assassin's Creed 3 Gameplay preview. Was wondering how would they switch up the time period so drastically and then try to play the environment to match similar experiences we had in the series. It did not approve with me at all of what I had seen...not one bit...

I wanted to wash that expeience out with some Indie game developer games they had showing on the floor. I went down to see some great games and I was split on games as plenty were really great and others I found horrible. (There was a game that the objective was to mow lawn...really!) I really enjoyed some of the puzzle games they had running in there, but I could not let down the zombie themed games that AKA Studios had running. Also for the Indie game developers they were running a promotion to have people go to each of the booths to collect special marks of the developers after completing various challenges. If you got them all you were promised a limited edition prize from PAX. I went through all the challenges and did get to enjoy some nice games and finally completed my card with every developer mark. Then I had no clue where to bring the finished card to. I asked staff and they had no idea...really they are staff and are suppose to be in the loop of things. Then I went to some of the Indie Booth developers and asked. They checked my card and then gave me a button...not a big one btw but one of the smallest types of buttons that you can probably find out there. I will drop the subject there...

I spent so much time for the passport that I still had still much more to see. I left a bunch of other game developers behind that day. Though I had hopes that Rockstar would have showed off a little of the new GTA, though I was disappointed that only Max Payne was all they had. Still it was very nice to demo that game out, I will be following more on that later.

I checked in some of the computer component booths to see what they had going. Lots of features and contest from them all with towers that were pimped out to the max. There was a G4 booth as well that I stopped by to pickup a special laced bag. There was a lot of game stores selling thier used games about to people during the convensions and looking at the prices, I would say they marked up their selections.

Had seen people with foam chainsaws and I wanted to add it to my collection of goodies. It was from Lollipop Chainsaw, I was interested mildly for the game and it was the demo for the game so I went to give it a swing. The line took forever, and it really was not that long. When I got to play it I found it to be another easy button smashing game with that appeal with the cheer leader pulling off some of here own moves in the mix.

Did another once over on the floor and took my leave via escalators. Was a really great day indeed but next time I need to find a traveling buddy when going to PAX, though I couldn't cause it was Good Friday and so that was a main reason of that. (Those guys need to check their holidays next time) As I left I heard the familar tune of Link and the orcarina of time...played on an electric guitar and the player was also dressed in a poorly made link outfit.

The general amount of Swag I was picking up was buttons, but they were still nice. Infaltables and foam things I rank the highest in swiping if possible. Posters were also a nice grab especial that I had my poster funnel saved from Comic Con.

I have a complete gallery of the photos that I took on my day there if you just follow the link you can see a bunch of it.
