"Ready or not here i come!",
walking through the dark atmosphere.
The mysterious man searching,
please can't find me.
I'm horrified, shivering-
in this dump.
I hear footsteps,
he's near, stay still.
I need to dig deeper-
into this this pile of rubble.
He's opening the lid,
faster, faster, I hit rock bottom.
His hand, I see it-
approaching me, this is the end.
Pulling me up by the collar,
straining my neck.
"Get off me, Stop!",
grinning at my demise.
Striking at me without a care,
knocking me down, dead-cold.
Waking up in my room,
with a fierce pain.
Dad is just sitting there,
staring at me, blankly.
I could see he was drunk, again,
why is he being nice?
It's like he's not himself anymore,
like he finally cares about me.
"Many abused children cling to the hope that growing up will bring escape and freedom.
But the personality formed in the environment of coercive control is not well adapted to adult life." -unknown
