Look at that house, made of wood and planks. Plain old photo with minecraft: it gets 7 views, 1 diamond; same house with realistic texture pack: it gets 43 views, 4 diamonds. Why is this, do people like these pictures, do they make people think the project is better than it seems?


If you look at many of the projects that are Hot, you will see that quite a few of them are displayed with photos from a texture pack. These photos tend to catch the eye of people, causing them to view the project, and the more views, the
better chance for diamonds. When we see projects on a texture pack, it can make the project seem better than it is. I like the houses on some texture packs, but without these texture packs, these build are often plain, or even boring. Many players download a build, just to be disapointed when they see it.


While some of these builds are enhanced by the photos, other are just amazing with any photo. Just because the build has a texture pack doesn't mean it is a bad build, as i said it could be awsome. But just be careful that you don't give credit where credit isn't deserved.
