Ok, we have all been stuck in this rut before!
After a while (No matter how CREATIVE you might be) EVERY skinner runs out of ideas!
If you are in this ‘Idea drought’ right now I will share with you the ways I brainstorm or come up with new unique ideas!
1.) Looks at your subscriptions! There is a reason you press that subscribe button!
But you do have to be rather careful with this! I would only recommend doing this when you really need to and If you have to do this multiple times, get inspiration from more than one skinner (Not the same skinner over and over)
WARNING:You are NOT stealing the whole skin and just making it with your own style!
Instead you are pin-pointing the thing you like best about it! This may be the color scheme, or the hair style. Not the whole outfit but possible the skirt or top. Again you still have to be very careful. If I liked someone’s hair style I could re-make it with a different color and my shading style.
Even though you have put an extreme twist on this item, and mostly likely no-one will think you got it from somebody, YOU STILL HAVE TO CREDIT! It’s not that hard, or embarrassing!
I used to be so embarrassed when I had to credit someone for a hair base or an idea, but it isn’t that bad! Embarrassment is not an excuse to call something you couldn’t make yours. Just say these key words: [Insert Name Here]’s AMAZING skin inspired me to make this one! As you can see I used her/his amazing idea of (Whatever idea you stole, Color, clothing, hair, ect.) Go check [Name]’s skin here -> (Link)
2.) Your real life is very helpful when you are trying to come up with ideas! Just look around! All you need is one piece of your skin, and things will start falling into place!
For example: I saw a pair of monkey headphones and I immediately thought of a monkey girl. Which I created
(xD I am sorry I didn't know that picture would turn out so big)
You can also try thinking of skin ideas as you fall asleep, that always helps me!
