Just like me, if you have played minecraft for a while you might have known that minecraft is endless, the game has no limit. Well, it does have some sort of an ending but that dosen't mean we cant play the game after the game come to an end, the game is suppost to end when the player defeats 1 of the end bosses, The Enderdragon. Besides the Enderdragon, theres also another boss called "Wither". This blog will be dedicated to on an easy way to defeat the wither. So, lets get started!

Step 1. Preperation


     Armor with Good durability and sharp swords are essential for defeating the wither, so is potions. I highly recommend you to get a sword with atleast sharpness III or higher, also armor with atleast Protection II (in every armor piece). (Note: Sword and armor should be created using diamond), As for potions, I recommend getting 3 Potions of Regenation, 3 Potions of Strength (II) and 3 Potions of Swiftness (II). And, if it were me, I'd take an Enchanted Golden Apple (Notch Apple) along with me in case a backup is required. Also, take a stack of blocks just in case and a pickaxe as well (dont take a bow)

Step 2. Destination

Okay, now that your done preparing its time to find a location to defeat the wither, as well all know, the wither attacks by throwing small wither skulls at you which can inflict wither damage and at the same time, do environmental damage so you might be saying "okay, the wither does environmental damage so i have to go super far from home right?" Wrong! there is an easy way to do with without going to far from your home, the answer is, the nether! In my opinion, the best way to kill the wither is to go to the nether then you might be thinking "okay, so do I just spawn the thing and beat the crap out of it?" Nope, well, you do, but.. Let me explain. The Wither can fly, which gives the wither an advantage because your stuck on the ground, meaning you cant deal any sword damage. So, to overcome it what you do is you create a staircase next to the portal that leads super high, after staricasing up a for a few minutes you will hit bedrock. Now this is the time for your pickaxe to shine. Let out your pickaxe and clear out a small room using the pickaxe and the bedrock should be the ceiling, it dosent matter if the room isnt symmetrical or if there is random 1x1 block holes in the ground/walls/ceiling it just needs to be somewhere you can walk at and the ceiling has to be 3 blocks high. By doing this the wither wont have any place to fly meaning you can deal tons of damage to the wither just by a sword (this is the reason I said to exclude bows from your inventory as some people arent good with the bow and will end up missing each arrow)


Step 3. Annihilating the Wither

Okay. now that we are ready to defeat the wither what you do is spawn it in the middle and quickly step back, this is because upon spawning in, the wither has 0 HP and will quickly regenerate its health untill it goes upto 300 (150 hearts) and in this process, the wither is invulnerable. the reason to step back is because when the Wither reaches HP 300 it will explode which can cause an insane amount of damage. Upon backing away after spawning it in throw a potion of strength, regenaration and swiftness at yourself and go straight in for the fight (make sure to go after the wither explodes. And, make sure you throw your potions straight up to get the full powers of the potions, otherwise the potion wont last as long as it should). Now that you have engaged a battle with the wither it will start throwng mini heads of it at you in order to attack which wont damage you (these are projectiles so getting Projectile protection is also fine) if one head successfully hits it will only deal a small amount of damage however, if it does hit succesfully it will effect you with Wither IV for 10  seconds (it might be higher/lower then ten but i think it is 10) so the wither damage is whats gonna kill you if it even does, so now something to keep in mind is to always be attacking if your health does drop step back and throw a regeneration potion to yourself and get back into the game! just be offensive, whilst fighting the wither being defensive wont really help. attack and attack untill a nether star drops!
