As most of you will know, the famous DJ, Deadmau5, has custom made minecraft ears on his skin. Many have tried to make their own, and I was testing some stuff out and I came across a really cool way of getting ears like Deadmau5. Here is my tutorial:
1. First you will need to set your skin to a Deadmau5 skin with small 'hat' ears. I used the "Deamau5 w/ ears brighter" skin, by tutterz.
2. Go into your texturepacks folder and choose any texturepack that you don't mind editing.
3. Go into the 'armor' folder and select any armour of your choice, except for leather/cloth. (You will need to have some sort of editing software for the next step i.e. Gimp 2 or paint.NET.)
4. Next, you need to edit that armour with the software of your own choice. Replace the helmet with the Deadmau5 ears you have just downloaded. Then, in section next to the ears (the place where a hat would normally go) place another set of ears there.
5.Save the texture and replace the old texturepack with the one you just edited, by saving it as a .zip file and placing it in your 'texturepacks' folder.
6. Go into Minecraft (make sure you are using the texturepack you just edited) put on the helmet and you should have 3D ears. Rather than just having one 3D layer, you now have three seperate layers!!!!
You now have your very own custom Deadmau5 ears in vanilla Minecraft!!!!!
Please subscribe and feel free to message me at any time :D
