Heres a simple mod to install, and i think you will really like it! Its Rei's Minimap mod. Heres the link: minecraftloader.com/2011/11/reis-minimap-1-0-0-reis-minimap-v2-8-mod-for-minecraft-1-0-0.html
Download them both. When you are done, open the mod folder with winrar. This is how, right click the mod, click open with, and click "WinRAR archiver", minimize it, go to start, search "run" and serch "%appdata%" in the run box. click .minecraft, click bin, and right click minecraft. Click "open with", and WinRAR archiver" then open back up the mod folder, copy all the folders from it into the file you just opened. BUT DONT COPY THE FIRST ONE THAT SAIS "...". If you did it right, when you play minecraft, you should see a little map at the top right corner of the game! If you have any problems, please ask. NOTE YOU MUST DELETE THE 'META-INF" folder or it will not work! And you must have minecraft closed while installing. And when done, close everything to make it work. Thanks for reading!
