Part 1-Making the serverIn this tutorial I will be showing you how to make a bukkit hamachi server and add plugins. Please note that this will only work for windows.
1. You need:
-Craftbukkit (latestbuild) http://dl.bukkit.org/
-LogMeInHamachi (Unmanged) https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/download.aspx
Once you have those downloaded put both on your desktop
2. Right click your desktop and click new folder. Name the folder 'Server.' Put the craftbukkit jar into the 'Server' folder Do NOT put in the Hamachi
3. If your craftbukkit has any other letters/numbers after the name craftbukkit (And it most likely will), rename it to just 'craftbukkit' (Do not put the '')
4. Double-click on the craftbukkit jar, and wait about 1 minute. After a minute all the folders you will should be generated.
5. To continue you must log off or restart your computer. This is to close the .jar file that is running. You can also force quit all java applications, but this is not recommended.
6. Log back on to your computer
7. Open up your LogMeInHamachi. Click 'create network'. Make a network named something like Mcserver-(ServerName) then add a password (Do not skip adding passwords, you must have one).
8. Now open up the 'Server' folder and create a textfile
9. Open the textfile and type in;
java -Xmx1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar -o true
PAUSE
Note: This will only work on WINDOWS computers, if you have a mac or Linux tell me in the comments and I'll tell you what to type.
10. Now click 'Save As' then name it RUN.bat or Starter.bat you must do one or the other if one doesn't work, try the other name.
11. Now go back to your 'Server' folder and find the textfile saved as a properties file. Open it and chose the options that you want for your server by changing the true to false or false to true. Once your done editing that keep it open and re-open hamachi. Above your hamachi name there should be numbers(ex 5.31.135.34/) Copy all the numbers BEFORE the slash, not after it (Don't type in the slash). Paste the numbers into the IP section of the server properties.
9. Close and save the server properties then double-click the starter file (the textfile you saved as RUN.bat or starter.bat) Let all the words and numbers go till you see 'done' (This usually take about 30 seconds to 1 minute)
10. Congrats you now have a hamachi server, to stop the server simply type 'stop'
Part 2 getting plugins:
Now that you have a server you need plugins. almost all plugins can be installed the same way. I will be showing how to get Essentials plugin on your server but first, For those of you who don't know what Essentials is,
it's a great plugin for almost any kind of server. Essentials allows you to set spawn, make warps, set homes, and lots of other cool commands.
1. First you need to download Essentials: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/essentials/
Click Essentials Core and let it download.
2. Open up your server folder and double click plugins folder
3. Open up your newly downloaded Essentials folder and highlight all the .jars and drag them into the plugins folder (you need to extract the folder first if it isn't already)
4. Restart your server. (type 'stop')
Now you have essentials installed!

IT JUST DOESNT WORK!!!
