Have you ever gotten SUPER annoyed about ppl raiding your base on a faction server?
Well, me as ANNS is here to help!
LAYERS.Strong layers for your base is super important to stop it from getting raided. Water is great for no tnt, but there is a trick called Cobble/Lava Monster you better watch out for.
Another good layer is Chests. Chests do block names, which means nobody will be able to see names underground or anywhere and track you down.
The best layer has to be Obsidean. It takes ten hits of tnt to destroy obsidean!(Disaggree? See bottom of blog!)
CLAIM: Claiming has to be the most important. Don't just claim where your base is, claim around it too so nobody can place any tnt. Not enough power to claim more land, make it on top! Claiming land dosent just go in the area where the base is on the ground, it goes all the way up in the sky and below bedrock too :).
COVER CHESTS: Some servers don't protect chests for you, so it's always safe to cover them with dirt or cobble, so even if a guy does come in your base who's not in your faction, he wont be able to get your loot.
BE CAREFUL: Not all people who join your faction are your forever teamates. Some people join factions and then leave themm whilst they're in the base and raid them! I suggest making a fake base and leading them to it. Then leave the server for about 10 minutes. Then, come back on and see. If he destroyed it, don't trust him and make sure he has left. If he hasn't, show him the real base and invite him in nicely.
DO IT UNDERGROUND: Don't make your base extremeley visible, build is underground so no one can find it. If it helps, dig underwater so it's harder to get to.
AROBIAN'S TIPS (he came up with awesome ideas and lemme put them in :):
When you first start making your base, don't claim it because you need secrecy, and claiming is dead giveaway, when your base starts gaining value, and you believe you can protect it, then claim.
In your actual base put it near bedrock or right on top of it., if they don't have optifine the fog will help hide stuff such as chests
When you do claim your base, i suggest making a rather good decoy on top of your base so people think that is your base instead of searching for your underground base.
Always have a back up plan, or a second, smaller place you can put your stuff temporarily if you base is being invaded.

Obsidean info: People in the comments have been arguing over if obsidean is immune to tnt. On average vanilla minecraft Obsidean is immune from tnt BUT.. On some servers there is a plugin that allows obsidean to be destroyed with ten hits of tnt. So either way, you are right.

ideas for your blog,
when you do claim your base, i suggest making a rather good decoy on top of your base so people think that is your base instead of searching for your underground base
in your top decoy add chests with some valuables so they take the bait, make it look like an actual base
in your actual base put it near bedrock or right on top of it., if they don't have optifine the fog will help hide stuff such as chests

i would suggest adding these, also if this doesn't help yall i have a factions base blog as well.
